Rigid Body Constrained Motion Optimization And Control On Lie Groups And Their Tangent Bundles, Brennan S. Mccann Oct 2023

Rigid Body Constrained Motion Optimization And Control On Lie Groups And Their Tangent Bundles, Brennan S. Mccann

Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses

Rigid body motion requires formulations where rotational and translational motion are accounted for appropriately. Two Lie groups, the special orthogonal group SO(3) and the space of quaternions H, are commonly used to represent attitude. When considering rigid body pose, that is spacecraft position and attitude, the special Euclidean group SE(3) and the space of dual quaternions DH are frequently utilized. All these groups are Lie groups and Riemannian manifolds, and these identifications have profound implications for dynamics and controls. The trajectory optimization and optimal control problem on Riemannian manifolds presents significant opportunities for theoretical development. Riemannian optimization is an attractive …

Modeling Nonsegmented Negative-Strand Rna Virus (Nnsv) Transcription With Ejective Polymerase Collisions And Biased Diffusion, Felipe-Andres Piedra

Research Symposium

Background: The textbook model of NNSV transcription predicts a gene expression gradient. However, multiple studies show non-gradient gene expression patterns or data inconsistent with a simple gradient. Regarding the latter, several studies show a dramatic decrease in gene expression over the last two genes of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) genome (a highly studied NNSV). The textbook model cannot explain these phenomena.

Methods: Computational models of RSV and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV – another highly studied NNSV) transcription were written in the Python programming language using the Scientific Python Development Environment. The model code is freely available on GitHub: …

Time-Fractional Navier-Stokes Equation Solved By Fractional Variation Of Parameters Method: An Analytic Approach, Muhammad Shakil Shaiq, Shoaib Ali, Azeem Shahzad, Tahir Naseem

International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinaries: Mathematics

In this investigation, we make use of the Variation of Parameters Method (VPM) to find a solution to the nonlinear time-fractional Navier-Stokes equation. Additionally, the fractional derivative in the sense of Riemann-Liouville is presented and discussed. Within the scope of this investigation, the Variation of Parameters Method (VPM) has been modified to include a fractional multiplier. The Fractional Variation of Parameters Method (FVPM) was created as an iterative way to solve the time-fractional nonlinear time-fractional Navier-Stokes equation. According to the findings of the calculations, the newly developed algorithm (FVPM) is compatible, accurate, and reliable.

Identification Of Sources In A Boundary Value Problem For Benney-Luke Type Differential Equation With Integral Conditions, Farhod Rakhmonov

Bulletin of National University of Uzbekistan: Mathematics and Natural Sciences

In three-dimensional domain a problem of identification of recourses for Benney-Luke type partial differential equation of the even order with integral form conditions, spectral parameter and small positive parameters in mixed derivatives is considered. The solution of this partial differential equation is studied in the class of regular functions. The Fourier series method is used. Using this Fourier method, is obtained a countable system of ordinary differential equations. So, the nonlocal boundary value problem is integrated as an ordinary differential equation. When we define the arbitrary integration constants there are possible five cases with respect to the spectral parameter. By …

Error Estimation For The Third-Order Accuracy Approximate Solution Of The Cauchy Problem By The Taylor Formula, Abdugani Abdullaev

Bulletin of National University of Uzbekistan: Mathematics and Natural Sciences

A method based on the Taylor formula for the approximate solution of the Cauchy problem for the ordinary differential equation is studied. The problem of estimating the accuracy of the approximate solution generated by this method is considered, and an estimate of high accuracy is obtained for the difference of the exact and approximate solution. Here, different from the known values, an exact expression for the estimation coefficient is found.

Evasion Differential Game Of Two Pursuers And One Evader, Toychivoy Tursunaliev Sep 2023

Evasion Differential Game Of Two Pursuers And One Evader, Toychivoy Tursunaliev

Bulletin of National University of Uzbekistan: Mathematics and Natural Sciences

We study a linear evasion differential game of two pursuers and one evader. We impose geometric constraints on the control parameters of players. The control sets of pursuers are unit balls, and that of evader is the ball of radius σ,σ>1. Evasion is said to be possible if the state of the evader doesn't coincide with the state of any pursuer for all time. We construct an evasion strategy for the evader that guarantees the evasion from any initial positions of players. Also, we introduce the concept of approach times. We show that the number of approach times doesn't …

New Modification Of Homotopy Perturbation Method For Multi-Point Boundary Value Problems, Mubashir Qayyum, Imbsat Oscar, Naveed Imran

International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinaries: Mathematics

In this paper a modification of homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is proposed for multi-point boundary value problems (BVPs). In this modification, HPM is hybrid with least square (LS) optimizer and named as least square homotpy perturbation method (LSHPM). Proposed method is applied to nonlinear multi-point BVPs and results are compared with HPM. The validity and convergence of the obtained solutions are confirmed by finding residual errors in each case. Analysis reveals that LSHPM is providing much accurate results as compared to HPM and hence can be used for more complex problems.

Current Developments On Extreme Value Copulas: Extended Pickands Dependence Functions, Christophe Chesneau

International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinaries: Mathematics

Copulas are mathematical tools used to model the dependence structure between random variables. Extreme value copulas specifically focus on capturing the tail dependence, which refers to the dependence structure between random variables when they exhibit extreme or rare events. The Pickands dependence functions are special convex functions that play a crucial role in characterizing extreme value copulas; they quantify the strength of their tail dependence. The creation of new Pickands dependence functions enhances our understanding of complex interdependencies, enabling more accurate modeling and risk assessment in diverse systems. In this article, a theoretical contribution to the topic is provided; an …

An Implementation Of The Method Of Moments On Chemical Systems With Constant And Time-Dependent Rates, Emmanuel O. Adara, Roger B. Sidje

Northeast Journal of Complex Systems (NEJCS)

Among numerical techniques used to facilitate the analysis of biochemical reactions, we can use the method of moments to directly approximate statistics such as the mean numbers of molecules. The method is computationally viable in time and memory, compared to solving the chemical master equation (CME) which is notoriously expensive. In this study, we apply the method of moments to a chemical system with a constant rate representing a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) model, as well as another system with time-dependent propensities representing the susceptible, infected, and recovered (SIR) model with periodic contact rate. We assess the accuracy of …

Neutrosophic Adaptive Lsb And Deep Learning Hybrid Framework For Ecg Signal Classification, Abdallah Rezk, Ahmed S. Sakr, H. M. Abdulkader

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

This paper proposes a novel hybrid framework for ECG signal classification and privacy preservation. The framework includes two phases: the first phase uses LSTM+CNN with attention gate for ECG classification, while the second phase utilizes adaptive least signal bit with neutrosophic for hiding important data during transmission. The proposed framework converts data into three sets of degrees (true, false, and intermediate) using neutrosophic and passes them to an embedding layer. In the sender part, the framework hides important data in ECG signal as true and false degrees, using the intermediate set as a shared dynamic key between sender and receiver. …

Compatibility Of Clique Clustering Algorithm With Dimensionality Reduction, Ug ̆Ur Madran, Duygu Soyog ̆Lu

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In our previous work, we introduced a clustering algorithm based on clique formation. Cliques, the obtained clusters, are constructed by choosing the most dense complete subgraphs by using similarity values between instances. The clique algorithm successfully reduces the number of instances in a data set without substantially changing the accuracy rate. In this current work, we focused on reducing the number of features. For this purpose, the effect of the clique clustering algorithm on dimensionality reduction has been analyzed. We propose a novel algorithm for support vector machine classification by combining these two techniques and applying different strategies by differentiating …

Optimal Control Analysis Of The Dynamics Of Covid-19 With Application To Ethiopian Data, Temesgen Duresa Keno, Fekadu Mosisa Legesse, Ebisa Olana Bajira

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this paper, we proposed an optimal control of the COVID-19 transmission dynamics. First, we investigated system features such as solution boundedness, positivity, disease-free and endemic equilibrium, and the local and global stability of equilibrium points. Besides, a disease-free equilibrium point is globally asymptotically stable if the basic reproduction number is less than one, and an endemic equilibrium point exists otherwise. Secondly, we have shown the sensitivity analysis of the basic reproduction number. Also the model is then fitted using COVID-19 infected reported in Ethiopia from February 1,2023 to March 2,2023. The values of model parameters are then estimated from …
