إعتمدت الدولة المصرية فى الآونة الأخيرة نمط المبانى العالية فى مخططاتها لمراكز مدن الجيل الرابع الجديدة الجارى إنشاؤها فى العديد من المناطق، وذلك فى إطار سعى الدولة لتغيير الخريطة العمرانية والتوسع في الإستثمار العقاري وخلق مجتمعات مواكبة للتطور العمراني والتكنولوجي بما يتوافق مع رؤية مصر٢٠٣٠، ومع البدء فى ظهور وإعتماد العشرات من مشروعات المبانى العالية فى مصر، أصبح من الضرورى دراسة تصميم الغلاف الخارجى لتلك المبانى ومدى ملاءمته للمناخ والبيئة المحلية، وذلك بهدف الوصول لأفضل أداء للطاقة وأعلى كفاءة للإستهلاك.

تعتبر المبانى العالية أحد أقل أنماط المبانى توافقاً مع البيئة والمناخ، وذلك بسبب إنعزالها عن النسيج العمرانى المحيط وتعرضها للعديد من العوامل المناخية بشكل أكبر من المبانى المنخفضة، لذا يعتبر الغلاف الخارجى هو العنصر الأهم فى تصميم المبنى العالي لكونه بمثابة الجدار الفاصل بين البيئة الخارجية ذات الظروف المناخية القاسية وبين البيئة الداخلية التى يجب الوصول فيها لراحة المستخدم الحرارية، حيث يعد الغلاف الخارجى هو المسئول عن ما يقرب من 60% من إجمالى الطاقة التى يستهلكها المبنى العالى وذلك فى أعمال التبريد والتهوية الصناعية [1].

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) stands as a prominent engineered decorative surface material, comprising layers of paper, resin, laminate, widely utilized in furniture, countertops, flooring, and wall panels. This study investigates the environmental impact of HPL through the lens of its carbon footprint, a metric quantifying the carbon dioxide emissions associated with its entire life cycle. A notable finding from the European Panel Federation (EPF) suggests that the carbon footprint of HPL approximates 1.2 kg CO2 eq/m2, revealing the emission intensity per square meter of produced material. The results of performance of the airflow in the spaces with windows on one side (single- sided ventilation) measured by Anemometer and tested by CFD show that the air velocity indoor these spaces is about 0.0-0.01 m/s while the outside air velocity is 1-1.3 m/s, which means that there is poor ventilation for those spaces. In this study, the passive technique (Wing-wall) was upgraded and designed to induce the air indoor the spaces which exist in western elevation in Egypt in order to improve natural ventilation. This study focuses on conducting a life cycle assessment (LCA) of using green agricultural waste as a sustainable local building material compared to conventional materials. Agricultural residues present a major waste management issue, however they can be repurposed as renewable construction resources. The aim is to quantify the environmental impacts of an experimental palm midribs roof design versus a traditional reinforced concrete roof. by using One Click LCA software to model the two design scenarios and analyze key sustainability indicators including carbon emissions. Sensory gardens are outdoor environment that stimulate the senses and promote well-being for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In Egypt, there is an absence of gardens, compounded by a limited understanding of the design principles aligned with the needs of people with ASD. Vysion Software addresses this gap by developing a user-friendly, all-in-one AI companion app that provides features including text summarization, real-time audio descriptions, and AI-enhanced navigation.
