A Plan Of Study Submitted To The Florida Department Of Environmental Regulation Southwest District, Department Of Sanitary Sewers Bay Study Group
Reports
The proposed study will examine effects of nutrient limitation on phytoplankton growth rates in Tampa Bay. The response of growth rate to changes in nutrient additions will be indicated through changes in algal biomass (chlorophyll-a) and fixation of CO2 (C‑14 uptake). The selected method is similar to methods currently used by the states of Maryland and Virginia for determination of nutrient limitation in Chesapeake Bay waters (Fisher et al. 1992a and b). The proposed study will, therefore, not only yield valuable information about nutrient limitation in Tampa Bay, but will also allow for comparison of information between Tampa Bay and …

Uncovering the Hidden Resource: Groundwater Law, Hydrology, and Policy in the 1990s (Summer Conference, June 15-17)
Sponsored by Natural Resources Law Center, University of Colorado School of Law and the Rocky Mountain Ground-Water Conference, organized by the Colorado Ground-Water Association.
Faculty for the conference included University of Colorado School of Law professor Lawrence J. MacDonnell.
Nearly half the people in the United States rely on groundwater as their primary water source. As demands for groundwater grow, it becomes increasingly important for lawyer and technical professionals to understand the legal and hydrologic issues arising in groundwater development, use, and protection. These issues will be the focus of the Center's thirteenth annual summer program, June 15-17, 1992.

Final Environmental Impact Statement For Rangeland Ecosystem Management On He Uinta National Forest, Provo, Utah, Usda Forest Service
All U.S. Government Documents (Utah Regional Depository)
This Final Environmental Impact Statement describes alternatives, including a "No Action" alternative for management of National Forest Rangeland Resources on the Uinta National Forest. Alternatives range from no change from past management practices, which in some instances have resulted in less than favorable ecological conditions on National Forest Rangelands and riparian resources, to managing these resources to achieve the "Potential Natural Community" in terms of vegetative cover types and condition. The environmental consequences of all alternatives considered in detail are displayed. The alternatives selected for implementation will become an amendment to the Uinta National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan. …

Resource management technical reports
The project mapped the landforms and land management units on cleared parts of the catchment ; defined the extent of, processes causing and options for solving the salinity problem in the Upper Denmark Catchment; developed a catchment management plan that would reverse the increasing soil and stream salinity trend within the catchment; encouraged and assisted the landholders to adopt the plan; and applied the results of the study to other areas.
