Because of its great importance both in electrocatalysis and C1 chemistry applications, the adsorption of CO on metallic electrodes such as Pt, Pd, Au, Ag, RhF ̄[1~2], etc. has been extensively studied by in situ infrared spectroscopy Since 1981. In all these studies only three types of CO adsorbates, i. e. , linear (2 090~2 000 cm ̄(-1)), bridgrd (2 000~1 900 cm ̄(-1)) or multi-bonded (1900~1 800 cm ̄(-1)) species, were identified. In this work a combination method of A. C. Impedance and chronoamperometry was used to determine the lithium ion transport number of LiClO_4·(PEO)_(20)·(PC)_(12)·(EC)_(12) polymer electrolyte. It is known that lithium is thermodynamically unstable in non-aqueous or polymer electrolytes, leading to the formtion of a film on lithium surface, called as solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). The presence of SEI layer will greatly influence the experimental result of lithium ion transport number. The new method avoid the effect of SEI layer, and can give correct transport number of lithium ion in the electrolyte of DCIO_4·(PED)_(20)·(PC)_(12)·(EC)_(12). A novel of anode-Ti/SnO_2+Sb_2O_3/PbO_2 was studied by means of SEM,EDS andXRD. The lifetime and kinetic parameters were determined in l mol/L H_2SO_4.The duel barrier modelwas used to interpret the results for the anode. The results show that the anode have better propertiesof electrochemistry and longer lifetime.

Horseradish peroxidase(HRP)was immobilized by crosslinkage on the glassycarbon electrode to prepare the enzyme electrede ,where the reduction of H_2O_2 was studied in l,4-dioxane media. It was shown that HRP electrode can catalyze the reduction of H_2O_2 without anymedintor,however, as an activator,o-phenylenediamine can promote the bio-catalysis. In thepresence of the activator,the parallel reactions occurred on the enzyme electrode. The workingcondition of the HRP electrede was investigated as the sensors for H_2O_2 and o-phenylenediamine,alsothe influence of water content in organic phase was discussed on the performance of the enzymeelectrode in organic phase.

An electrochemical dyeing method of protein fiber-silk is presented,and aexperimental equation relating to the uptake a and trough voltage V is given. It is shown that theelectrochemical dyeing method can remarkably raise the uptake than common mtehod,reduce energyconsumption and cut down environment pollution. This is a new field for the application ofelectrochemistry.

The electrochemical behavior of l8/8 stainless steel in dilute thiosulphate solutionduring strained loading was studied by various electrochemical techniques and scanning electronmicroscope.It is evidenced that the corrosion activity of stainless steel increased with strained loading.The dynamic process of repassivation ,which may datermine the initiation ,the cease and developmentof the stress corrosion cracking for stainless steel ,was strongly influenced by both electrochemical andloading conditions. Pitting corrosion may locate preferentially on the sites which was suffered mostloading.The propagation of pitting corrosion of stainless steel may induce stress corrosion crakingunder certain conditions.

A photoelectrochemical investigation has been carried out on AISI 304 stainlesssteeI AV modulated passive film in 0.1mol/L Na_2B_4O_7 and 0.5 mol/L Na_2SO_4 solution.Photocurrentcurve depends on the potential、passive condition and testing solutions. The results of the measurementsindicate that the photoresponse is determined by the defects in the electronic structure of the films whenthe defects lead to localized states in the bandgap region. It is concluded that the passive film on AISI304 stainless steel is in a highly disordered amorphous state.

In the present paper,cyclic voltammetric calorimetry has been used to study thedeposition of copper on platinum electrode from LiClO_4 aqueous solution. Cyclic voltammetricthermogram and cyclic voltammetric differential thermogram show that the deposition of copper on theelectrode is an exothermal process with a strong interaction between copper and platinum layer(-3227.0 kJ /mol).The electrochemical oxidation of the deposited copper is composed of twoprocesses :an endothermal activation process with 747.0 kJ/mol of activation enthalpy,and anexothermal oxidation reaction with-189.9 kJ/mol of the reaction enthalpy, which are accord withthe data from the theoritical estimation and thermodynamic handbook respectively.

Hydrogen-bond between stearic acid and aniline in subphase lead to Langmuirmonotayers of stearic acid-aniline,the molecular area of stearic acid-aniline is 26 nm ̄2.With surfacepressure increased into 50 mN/M,the hydrogen-bond would be rearranged ,aniline moleculartransales into vertical from horizontal,surface pressure decreased quickly. A new kind of Langmuirmonolayer is formed instead of collapse,it's molecular area decreases into 24 nm ̄2 and thicknessincreases with 0.25 nm. The growth kinetics and breakdown of passive films on REBAR electrodes insimulated cement solution(pH=12.5 and 13.8)have been investigated using in situphotoelectrochemical methods and potential step method. The results show that there are two mainstages in the growth of the film ,with two rate functions characterized by linear relation between thefilm thickness and the direct logarithm of time. There is a sign in laser-scanning photoelectrochemicalmicroscopic image just before the passive film breaks down. The addition of inhibitor NaNO_2changesthe growth kinetics and thickness of the film ,and therefore improves the resistance of pitting corrosioninduced by chloride.

In this paper,the effects of additives,complex agents and current densities on thetexture and grain size of the zinc deposits from zincate baths are studied by means of X raydiffraction. The results show that the existence of additive AA-1 causes the preferential orientationof(101) face;when DIE is added alone,the preferential orientation changes to(110) face;withadditives both DIE and AA-1,Zn deposits with highly preferential orientation of(110) are obtainedin a certain range of current densities,and if complex agents TEA and EDTA are simultaneouslyexisted ,fine granular and bright Zn deposits with highly preferential orientation can be obtained in thewider range of current densities.

By combining the in-situ Raman spectroscopic technique with the normalelectrochemical measurements ,the behavior and structure of PPY films in neutral or basic solutionswere studied.The oxidized PPY loses protons on the N atoms of pyrrole rings and is deprotonated inthese solutions ,resulting the formation of the quinoid structure. It makes the C=C stretching vibrationbonds of PPY split.Because this quinoid structure can′t be further oxidized ,the PPY becomes moredifficult to be oxidized and less reversible with the increasing of pH value of solutions and the degree ofdeprotonation of PPY. A modified electrolytic manganese dioside doped with Bi(Bi-EMD)wasprepared and examined by XRD and XPS.It is predominantly γ-mnO_2 and the Bi exists as Bi_2O_3 inthe modified material.The content of Bi in Bi-EMDs increased with the increasement of Bi ̄(3+)concentration in electrolyte,and reached14.3(wt)% from the bath of 0.008 mol·1 ̄(-1)Bi ̄(3+)+ used.Some Zn /Bi-EMD prototype batteries of AA size were assembled,and which cycle life tests showedthat the Bi-EMD has better reversibility.

The Al-Mn alloy plating was electrodeposition from low temperature molten salts(below 200℃),its chemical composition control,corrosion resistance as well as the relationshipbetween chemical composition and structure were studied.The results indicate that the main effect onchemical composition of Al-Mn alloy plating is Mn ion concentration in molten salts.The Mn contentin the range of 25~40(wt)%, Al-Mn alloy plating has amorphous structure. In 0.5 mol/L H_2SO_4and NaCl solution ,corrosion resistance of the alloy plating is much better.When the alloy hasamorphous structure,corrosion resistance of plating has been remarkably increased.

Anode catalysts of methanol oxidation for direct methanol fuel cell, pt/C andPtRu/C,were prepared by chemical reduction in this work.The results indicated that the PtRu/Cshowed higher electrocatalytic activity than that of Pt/C. It was explained by XRD and XPS analysesthat the existence of Ru enhanced the catalytic activity for electrochemical oxidation of methanol.

The identification of the phase composition of the anodic film on Pb formed inH_2SO_4 solution in PbO potential region has long been argued,together with the explanation of thecathodic peak at about -0.9V(Hg/Hg_2SO_4)in the linear sweep voltammogram for a Pb-H_2SO_4system. The mechanisms of the arsenite acid scavenging bromine and[Fe(Phen_3)] ̄(3+)reaction were studied by the electrochemical methods. The arsenite acid scavenging bromine and[Fe(Phen_3)] ̄(3+) reaction rate constants in sulfuric acid in the range of 23℃ to 69℃ and in the range of19℃ to 69℃ were determined by measuring the steady state limiting current,respectively.Theactivation energy of the arsenite acid scavenging bromine reaction in sulfuric acid is 33 kJ·mol ̄(-1).

The promoter effect of thiophene with only one-functional group on the directelectrochemical reaction of cytochrome c was compared with that of tetrahydrothiophene in this report.It was found that thiophene is a good promoter.But tetrahydrothiophene could not facilitate the directelectrochemistry of cytochrome c although this compound is very similar to thiophene in str uctureexcept for conjugated π bond.This demonstrated that the conjugated π bond in thiophene plays animportant role for the acceleration of the direct electrochemistry of cytochrome c.

The electrochemical oscillation behaviour of hydrogen peroxide cathodic reductionprocess on the electrodeposited silver indium selenide electrode has been studied by using in-situdynamic impedance and the condensance measurement technique in different supporting electrolytessolutions.The surface composition of AglnSe_2 electrodes(before and after oscillating)were also givenby AES. According to the experimental results,the influence of Cl ̄- on the mechanism of thiselectrochemical oscillaton process has been discussed in detail.

After treated by HF solution,the surface of Zr(V_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.54)Mo_(0.06))_(2.4) alloywas transformed from Zr-rich and Mn-rich layer to Ni-rich layer.In this way,the nickel on thesurface could be believed to be the Raney-type nickel, which could obviously shorten the activationcycles,improve electrocatalytic activity and hydrogen adsorption ability.In this paper,the reactionmechanism on the alloy surface(i.e. the mechanism of nickel-catalysis,hydrogen-adsorption andhydrogen-transference)had been investigated.And the impedance spectra were fitted to an equivalentcircuit using a non-linear,least-squares(NLLS)fitting program.

The coadsorption characteristics of para-toluene sulfamide and 1,4-butynediol atmercury electrode have been studied by means of electrocapillary curve,differential capacity curve,Stuart model and the SCFMO method(CNDO/2).The coadsorption is a physical adsorption occuringnaturally. Lateral and flat orientations in the two adsorbates close to their maximum adsorptionpotential were considered respectively.Unlike attractive interactions of their own,there was arepulsive interaction at their coadsorption layer.A preferred adsorption of 1,4-butynediol occurredWhen they were at the same volume concentration.

The curves of spectral and photovoltaic responses to zinc phthalocyanine of dopingC_(60) were determinted.The photovoltaic property for zinc phthalocyanine of doping C_(60) wereinvestigated on the InP single crystal in the photoelectrochemical cell.The results have shown that:1)The photovoltaic effect and the in tensit ies of the spectral response and of the photovoltaic responsefor ZnPc of doping C_(60) were greater than those of ZnPc;2)had better redox couple in the cells.
