controlled current conveyor (DDCCC) is proposed in this paper. Major advantages of the FGMOS-based DDCCC are low power dissipation and simplicity. The proposed circuit is designed using only 14 MOS transistors. The total power dissipation of the proposed circuit is equal to 7.38 $\mu $W. The other advantage of this circuit is that intrinsic resistance seen at port X of the DDCCC can easily be tuned by a biasing current. The tuning range of the intrinsic resistance is rather wide. (AFPIC) for a flexible AC transmission system (FACTS)-based dynamic power filter (DPF) to be used in wave energy conversion systems. The new FACTS device stabilizes the DC-common bus voltage, reduces quality of power troubles, and enhances energy utilization by acting as a bus quantity enhancer (BQE). The design and realization of the proposed FACTS-based DPF and efficient control schemes are fully studied. To validate the efficiency of the proposed BQE FACTS device, a digital simulation model and a laboratory test system are developed in the MATLAB/Simulink/Simpower software environment for comparison. In this study, the relay sliding mode control method based on the input-output model proposed in previous studies is revisited. Sliding conditions under ideal operating conditions are reformulated to fortify the theoretical background. Some additional issues, namely the effects of disturbances and measurement noise on the sliding mode conditions, are addressed and analyzed in detail. Finally, the theoretical results are put to the test by detailed simulation examples.

Efficient decision making in vertical handoff and network selection algorithms improves users' quality of service and helps users meet service requirements, anywhere and at any time. Hence, in this paper, a user-centric network selection algorithm is proposed, utilizing the estimated reputation of the available candidate networks based on user location and combined experienced users' utility. User utility is defined based on 1) quality of service, 2) monetary cost, and 3) energy consumption metrics. the eye regions of laptop users. To achieve this, the iris and eye corners are detected by processing the images captured by the standard internal webcam of a laptop. In addition, an artificial neural network (ANN) is used for determining the eye region. Hereby, the iris and eye corners can be detected in the determined eye region. In the study, 107 user images are captured by using a laptop's internal camera under different light intensities, environments, viewpoints, and positions.
