The study aimed to identify the degree of public school teachers' practice of moral education in Irbid governorate from the parents' point of view. The study followed the descriptive survey method, and the study used a questionnaire consisting of (14) items to collect its data. This paper explores the evolution of American foreign policy in the Balkans in the years preceding the Dayton Accords. Specifically, it examines the progression from America’s position of nonintervention and reluctance to engage to a role of leadership in ending the conflict. Key factors discussed include the inadequacy of early U.S. policies in the region, mounting pressure to end the violent conflict, the value placed on the NATO organization and relationship by the Clinton administration, and the unwavering commitment to keep American troops out of the conflict. Make It Funky For Me: Black British Women’S Explorations Of Britishness, Womanhood, And Artistry Through 2000s Music, Monique Charles

2000s Britain was an interesting and expansive time musically for Black Britain (Bradley 2013), as underground music gained traction in mainstream spaces. This article examines the context in which Black British women were able to cross over into the British mainstream and explores how U.K. garage and U.K. funky artists expressed their creativity, autonomy, womanhood, Blackness, and Britishness. Female U.K. garage artists set a precedent in the creation of “new” diverse identities for Black British women artists, but artists in both underground and mainstream music scenes were also forced to contend with restrictive and harmful misogynoir.

In turn, finding celebration within sometimes volatile, traditional academic conferences. Black female educators, although disproportionately represented within U.S. public schools, face intense and challenging working environments throughout various teaching workforces. While navigating through school environments cultivated of racialized harm, forced compliance, lack of support for Black students, uncomfortable situations, taking on extra roles and duties, challenges, and anti-Blackness, Black educators’ pedagogical experiences are shaped through their identities and teacher experiences- some that were altered from various encounters. In this paper, we interviewed four extremely accomplished Black educators who represent a range of disciplines, ages, and levels of education. We relied on referrals from peers in the field, then determined whether those individuals were exemplary Black educators using the extraordinary historian, psychologist, and teacher Dr. Asa Hillard’s definition of a master teacher. The four educators we ultimately selected met those criteria. Our lengthy conversations with each educator explored their drive, inspiration, joy, and practices in the journey toward becoming and being a Black liberatory educator.

In an effort to shed light on the experiences of Black girls in an after-school program, this study captures how their peer and teacher relationships were impacted by in-school suspension(s). Over the course of eight weeks, an ethnographic case study was conducted with two kindergarten Black girls who attended a predominately white after-school program. Using critical race theory and critical race feminism, this study adds to existing literature that reveals the harmful nature of in-school disciplinary practices on Black and Brown students in general, and Black girls in particular. School climate is a complex system involving norms, goals, values, relationships, practices and organizational structures. It includes the composition of the school and school practices. School composition encompasses the social and economic characteristics of a school, whereas school practice includes administrative leadership and the utilization of resources (Anyon et al., 2016; Opdenakker & Van Damme, 2006; Rumberger & Palardy, 2005; Thapa et al., 2013).
