The work on the emergency nursery school program in Washington started on January 6, 1934, in the State Department of Education. The purposes of the program as outlined by the state supervisor are pertinent here. (1) To serve the emergency needs of preschool children and their parents who are suffering from current social and economic difficulties. Bachelors’ Theses

The twenty-fifth anniversary of the Wisconsin Anti-Tuberculosis Association is an appropriate occasion upon which to consider its past, its present and its aims. A quarter of a century ago it selected for attack the gravest menace to human life and health, and has made the struggle an organized statewide conflict against the disease. It has sought to perfect methods for the control of tuberculosis and has brought them to the attention of every community in Wisconsin. It has striven to increase knowledge of the disease and to apply this knowledge to its control.
