The Trinity River Authority has proposed the construction of approximately 1.2 miles of 48-inch sewer line along Red Oak Creek in Ellis County, Texas. The proposed interceptor would extend from just east of Farm-to-Market Road 342/South Central Boulevard to the Red Oak Creek Regional Water System Plant in Red Oak, and would be constructed within a 100-foot-wide combined temporary and permanent easement. The entire line is proposed for open trenching, except at Shawnee Road near the north end of the project, where the pipeline will be bored. At the request of Matiraan, Ltd., Pape‐Dawson conducted an intensive archaeological survey with shovel testing and backhoe trenching of the proposed 37‐acre (15‐hectare [ha]) Casa Bella Estates residential development in compliance with the Historic Preservation and Design Section (Article 6 35‐360 to 35‐ 634) of the City of San Antonio (COSA) Unified Development Code (UDC). Based on the results of those investigations, the COSA Office of Historic Preservation (SA‐OHP) requested further work to mitigate the effects of the proposed development on a potentially significant archaeological site (41BX2131). The project consists of a minor road widening This proposed project would widen FM 186 from two 12-ft. wide travel lanes with 2-ft. wide shoulders to two 12-ft. wide travel lanes with 4-ft. wide shoulders for approximately 8.8 miles along FM 186 from Castellaw Road to the FM 186 terminus in Dimmit County, Texas. (B&A), on behalf of KMF Water LLC, at the request of Kimmeridge Energy, conducted an archeological survey within a portion of an Antiquities Conservation Grant Easement (ACGE) located within the Nicolls Tract in service of the Kimmeridge Energy Pipeline in Reeves County, Texas. On February 12 and 14, 2018, Moore Archeological Consulting, Inc., conducted an intensive pedestrian archeological survey of seven separate permit areas (within four separate tracts of land) located along the Sam Houston Parkway toll road. The tracts are spread over a 2.83 km (1.76 mile) length portion of the roadway, from just north of Green Shadows Drive to north of Pine Street, in Pasadena, Texas. Richardson Parks & Recreation Department is planning new trails and park features for the additional acreage the city recently acquired around the Spring Creek Nature Area in Richardson, Texas. The city acquired an additional 50 acres in the southwestern portion of Collin County. The parks department has plans to construct new trails and park facilities on the properties to connect to existing facilities. The overall property is bounded by Renner Road on the north, Plano Road on the east, and Routh Creek Parkway on the west. However, it is located on property within the Amistad National Recreation Area, a federal property maintained by the National Park Service (NPS). At the request of the San Antonio Water System (SAWS), an intensive archaeological survey was conducted by Pape-Dawson for the proposed Westlakes Water Main project located partially within the City of San Antonio in Bexar County, Texas. The project will entail the installation of approximately 5.2 miles (8.4 kilometers) of new water line. Two tie-ins as well as a segment of the main alignment that crosses Loop 1604 will be bored beneath the roadways while the remainder of the line will be laid out in a trench and backfilled. In early 2017, Moore Archeological Consulting, Inc. (MAC) conducted archeological monitoring of mechanical scraping at site 41LB42 located on Capers Ridge in Liberty County, Texas. This action was done to offset adverse effects associated with impending pipeline installation as part of the larger Luce Bayou Interbasin Transfer Project (LBITP), a Coastal Water Authority (CWA) infrastructure undertaking that will transport freshwater from the lower Trinity River to Lake Houston. Previously survey, testing and data recovery by MAC identified high density, high integrity finds situated on the summits of three small knolls found within 41LB42. Because the project will receive funding from the Federal Highways Administration, it qualifies as an undertaking as defined in Title 36 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 800.16(y) and, therefore, the work was conducted in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (54 U.S. Code 306108). On behalf of El Paso Natural Gas Company, LLC (EPNG), SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey on a portion of the proposed 17.0-mile-long (27.4- kilometer [km]) EPNG Mainline Expansion Project (Project) that crosses public lands administered by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) and the Clint Independent School District (CISD) in El Paso and Hudspeth Counties, Texas. Investigations were conducted in support of EPNG’s filing of a standard 7c application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
