In August 2017, Deep East Texas Archaeological Consultants (DETAC) conducted a cultural resource management survey of the proposed Farmersville sewer system improvements in Collin County, Texas (TWDB/THC #201700814) under Texas Antiquities Permit #7990. Proposed improvements include 12.3 km (7.6 mi) along seven pipelines along with modifications to three lift stations and the construction of four lift stations. Total project area was 7.7 hectares (19.1 acres). Shovel testing and visual examination did not find any evidence of cultural resources; no artifacts were collected. An intensive archeological survey was completed in order to inventory and evaluate archeological resources within the footprint of proposed widening improvements to Farm-to-Market Road 2100 between Huffman-Cleveland Road and the proposed State Highway (SH) 99 (Grand Parkway) in eastern Harris County, Texas. The project is approximately 5.73 miles or 9.2 kilometers in length and has a typical width of between 150 to 220 feet or 45.7 to 67.0 meters. The APE is 147.37 acres or 83 hectares with 90.93 acres or 36.8 hectares of the total being new right-of-way. Typical roadway construction would occur within 2 feet or 0.6 meters, …

In 2008–2009, Prewitt and Associates, Inc., performed testing and data recovery excavations at prehistoric site 41CV286 in Coryell County for the Texas Department of Transportation, Environmental Affairs Division, under Texas Antiquities Permit No. 4955. The investigations were prompted by the planned replacement of the County Road 314 bridge over Station Creek (CSJ No. 0909-39-117) just upstream from where it flows into the Leon River and were done in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Antiquities Code of Texas.

one Mountain Archaeological Services, Inc. (Lone Mountain) conducted this cultural resource survey for the West Kermit Phase 2 3-D Seismic project proposed by Dawson Geophysical (Dawson). The undertaking consists of a 3-D seismic exploration for petrochemical resources within University lands in Loving, Ward, and Winkler Counties, Texas. Geophones will be laid along receiver lines by crews using ATVs, while vibroseis trucks will travel along source lines. No drilling or grubbing is proposed. University Lands is serving as lead agency.

On July 24, 2017, Moore Archeological Consulting, Inc. of Houston, Texas conducted an intensive, linear cultural resource survey of the proposed 12-inch water line between Grant Road and the Lake Forest UD Water Plant #3 in Harris County, Texas. The overall proposed Project Area is approximately 550 meters in length. The project corridor will involve a 6 meter wide easement with a trench that will not exceed 4.5 m in width. Georgetown Independent School District has proposed to purchase the Patterson Tract, a project which is approximately 22.8 acres of land in southeast Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. Georgetown Independent School District (GISD) retained Terracon Consultants, Inc. to conduct a systematic, intensive pedestrian survey of the approximate 22.8-acre project area. On August 8th and 9th, 2017, personnel from POWER Engineers, Inc. (POWER) performed an intensive archeological survey of a proposed electrical substation and substation access road on stateowned Port of Brownsville property in Cameron County, Texas. The investigation was undertaken under Texas Antiquities Permit 8125. The approximately 11.4-acre proposed substation Project area is located approximately 0.7 mile north of the intersection of Chemical Road and the BrownsvillePort Isabel Highway (State Highway 48). The proposed access road extends approximately 500 feet north from Chemical Road to the proposed substation. No archeological materials were observed during the survey. Due to the lack …
