Colleges and universities around the country are looking for ways to increase graduation rates while helping students defray college costs. The Cove, Cedarville University’s academic enrichment center, has found a way to do both.

The nationally recognized center hired 112 student tutors, 15 note takers and two office workers for the 2016 fall semester, providing a way for those students to earn money while they help their peers.

Students Hope To Continue Model U.N. Success, Mark D. Weinstein

For the past two years, Cedarville University’s Model United Nations (U.N.) team has been the clear-cut leader in regional competition. In 2015, the team won five individual awards at the regional event, and last year it claimed all eight major individual awards.

The 2016-17 team will attempt to duplicate this success when it competes at the annual Dayton Model United Nations Conference (DAYMUNC) onFebruary 3-4 at Sinclair Community College. Dr. Glen Duerr, assistant professor of international studies, is the faculty adviser.

Infertility is a painful reality for many couples. Assisted reproductive technologies (A.R.T.) are becoming increasingly more popular for infertile couples desperate to conceive. In 1972 physician and ethicist Leon Kass warned that “infertility is a relationship as much as a condition – a relationship between husband and wife, and also between generations too.
