This study evidences the growth of research literature produced by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for the period of 2007 to 2016. A total of 14410 records were retrieved from the Scopus database. Descriptive statistics for the research publication output revealed mean = 1441, Sd = 318.92, minimum = 1087, maximum = 2141 at 95.0% confidence level. The curve fitting methodology was used to fit the growth of research publication of AIIMS. R square value for exponential growth model is higher (0.908) than the linear growth model (0.849). The study analyse the multiple intelligence skills of LIS professionals in working government and private universities in Tamil Nadu. Data were collected through questionnaire method. Totally 441 questionnaire were collected from 114 in traditional, 291 in Professional and 36 in Multi-discipline subjects. The study reveals that the private universities LIS professionals are more compare than government universities. The respondents from Government Universities are better skilled than their counterparts from private universities in all the 17 linguistic intelligence skills. Abstract

Purpose: to assess the cervical cancer knowledge of female librarians in Imo State. The assessment was in terms of the risk factors; signs and symptoms, screening and control.

Design: It was a descriptive survey of female librarians in Nigeria.

Findings: Female librarians have very poor knowledge of cervical cancer health in all its ramifications. And up-take was abysmally low (5%). Urgent intervention is needed to raise their awareness.

Originality/Value: It is the first survey of librarians’ cervical cancer health literacy in Nigeria. Data collected provides good bases for intervention and policy.

Design/methodology/approach: The study used pragmatism paradigm which is a mixed method approach. Simple random sampling was used to select 40 respondents from the five villages (Mukumbi, Naibor-enderit, Narosoito, Orkirung’urung’ and Endonyengijape. This study surveyed the challenges of collection development of electronic resources in university libraries in South East Nigeria. The descriptive survey research method was adopted for the study with population of 86 respondents. The instruments for collection of data were questionnaire and interview. Data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using simple statistics (mean). The findings revealed twelve challenges that affect collection development of electronic resources in university libraries in South East Nigeria. This article attempts to highlight quantitatively the growth and development of world literature on hemophilia in terms of publications output as per SCOPUS database (2003-2017). During 2003-2017 a total of 13503 papers were published by the scientists in the field of hemophilia. The average number of publications published per year was 900. The paper examines the use of KMC Health science Library Portal by the postgraduate students and faculty members of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), MAHE, Manipal. A total of 60 questionnaires were administered to 45 postgraduate students and 15 faculty members of MCOPS, Manipal. All the filled in questionnaires were returned by the respondents, and hence the response rate is 100%. The paper aims to present the awareness of library rules, use of library services and information access competency of the women faculty members (Mother Teresa Women’s University and its affiliated colleges) was investigated for their opinions and experiences about assorted techniques of information access. Data were collected through questionnaire method. Copies of the questionnaires were distributed to 87.59% of population i.e. 254 out of 290 women faculty members in their staff rooms with the permission and assistance of the registrar/principal. Methods: The ten years of scholarly communications have been retrieved from Web of Science for Mizoram University. The study analyses the scholarly communications, citations data, h-index, prolific contributors, forms of scholarly communications, funding agencies, highly cited scholarly communications, top areas of scholarly communications, authorship patterns and degree of collaboration.

Scientometrics is an important field of information science as it represents a unique set of techniques and tools for the monitoring and analysis of information resources and for the management of knowledge in social and organizational contexts. This article analysed the various Scientometric components of the articles published by top six universities of Tamil Nadu from 2000-2017. The study identifies research trend, characteristics growth and collaboration pattern of published literature. The main objective of this article is to find out most prolific authors and journals in the environmental management research output during 1989 to 2014. This area is an interdisciplinary subject and developed dramatically over the last few decades. Scientometrics offers assess the quantitative analytical techniques with the development and growth of research in Environmental management. The total sample data retrieved from the database of Web of Knowledge, includes, SCI, SSCI, A&HCI. Total records of 61877 research articles retrieved from 22 types of different sources. Applicability of Bradford’s law and Lotka’s law methods was tested.
