This paper aimed to determine the information needs and information seeking behaviour of the Krobo beads producers in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It also looked at sources of information available to to the beads producers as well as the problems they encountered when searching for information about their work. The professionals include doctors, teachers, researchers, bankers, businessmen, journalists, librarians and regular students of the University of Karachi. The present study was carried to find out the association between twitter and citation pattern for scholarly articles. This study was carried out with the most prolific authors of 2014 from the four subject domain “Clinical medicine, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Neuroscience” and 4886 papers were identified to studied their tweets and citation counts. From the study, it was found that the articles of the most prolific authors have a strong correlation with the citation and its value ρ =.518**. The linear relationship for individual subjects was between .386** to .559**, significant at .01 level.

This paper examines the mission and vision statements of the largest academic library in each of the United States to determine whether information literacy is included in these top-level guiding documents. It is found that only a quarter of these institutions include information literacy in these statements, which suggests this vital aspect of librarianship may be undervalued at an organizational level.

The study investigates organizational culture variables as factors influencing librarians’ turnover intentions in university libraries in South-South and South-East of Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. Total enumeration method was used since the population comprising 400 academic librarians in the two geopolitical zones were considered appropriate for the study. Much has been written about library liaison programs in academic libraries throughout the United States. Since their inception, liaison programs have emphasized the collaboration between librarians and faculty in collection development. This brief paper synthesizes relevant literature to identify the dynamics that currently influence this collaboration. Those that emerge here include liaison job descriptions and collection development policies, direct service and collaboration, information reciprocity, relational factors, and budgets. The paper concludes with suggestions for interdisciplinary collaboration and for future teaching and research.

Human capital is a key success factor in any organisation. Dissatisfied and unhappy staff may not perform maximally, and this could affect an organisation’s products and services. This study examined the extent to which leadership style, correlated with job satisfaction intention in private university libraries South-West, Nigeria.Survey research design was adopted. The population consisted of all the 361 library staff. Findings revealed that the level of job satisfaction of library staff was low, and that the most practice leadership style is autocratic. It also revealed a significant relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction (r = 0.028, p < 0.05); The study concluded that leadership style contributed significantly to the low level of job satisfaction. It is recommended that library management should be more democratic, payment of allowances should be put in place. This would increase the job satisfaction of the employees in private university libraries.

The research scrutinises information literacy, self-concept and metacognitive ability of teacher-librarians at the University of Zululand, South Africa. A total of one hundred and ten (110) copies of questionnaire were distributed among second-year teacher-librarians, out of which fifty-seven (57) copies were returned with valuable responses, giving a response rate of 51.8%. The study chronicled basic issues that concern self-efficacy, personal knowledge, task and procedural knowledge, strategic and declarative knowledge, conditional knowledge and planning ability of teachers. The purpose of this article is to provide criteria for native model of social cataloging sites based on the world's most visited, popular social cataloging site's components. Abstract

Purpose: The study was carried out to investigate the e-library resources and services: improvement and innovation of access and retrieval for effective research activities in university e-libraries in Kogi State Nigeria.
