The results of the study show that the respondents have average level of e-resources usage skills, particularly on awareness about many available e-resources. The variables of the respondents namely gender, age groups, designations, specialisations and the type of institutions were significantly influencing their e-resource usage skills and its dimensions. Frequency of access is daily among the respondents belonging to below 35 years age group. Most of the respondents use open access journals, whilst few have individual subscription to e-Journals. This study sought to determine if there is a way to predict, before purchase, books likely to never be used in academic libraries. An unweeded community college library was selected and a random sample of unused books was compared to a second sample of items that had checked out at least three times. Two characteristics associated with non-use were found. The first characteristic was that small holdings in LC Classification ranges were associated with low book use. Nigerian literature has focused more on the general concept of e-resources without dedicated attention to e-books. This work takes a critical look at the challenges related to e-books collection and management in Nigerian universities. The study was conducted among six federal universities in Nigeria; one from each geo-political zone of the federation. A survey research design was utilized to carry out the study with structured interview conducted for system librarians of the six university libraries. While there is proliferation of e-books in the libraries, absence of local titles, budgeting, consortium and awareness of DRM issues remain obvious challenges.

This paper explore the actual use of the physical space in Kenneth Dike Library by the students' population, the role these spaces are playing for learning and for related services in the university of Ibadan academic environment. It looked at the suitability of available spaces and suggestions for improvement. Survey method was adopted for the study with 94.5% response rate. It found that quite study is what attract majority respondents to Kenneth Dike Library. What emerged was that academic pursuits remain the most common activity in the library space.

The main objective of this study was to investigate nurses’ use of research information in their clinical practice at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. A case study that utilised both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection was adopted. Data was collected using a questionnaire in 2015. Quantitative data was analysed using SPSS and qualitative data was analysed thematically. The study consist of 371 citations which have been appeared in two volumes i.e., 8 issues of International Journal of Library and Information Studies during the years 2014 and 2015. The distribution pattern of citation by type of documents i.e. journals are heavily cited (43.54%). It was observed that books fell in the next order (11.74%) followed by conference proceedings, reports, symposia papers representing 28.42 percent of the total which occupy an important place in usage. The average number of citations per thesis was 125.18.
