Abstract

This bibliometric study was designed to analyze the scholarly publications of librarians in Universities in Nigeria from 2000-2012. It was guided by six objectives and two null-hypotheses. The study covered 16 Universities located in the seven states of the North -West, Nigeria while the publications analyzed were journal articles, chapters in books, books, conference proceedings etc published by the librarians in the study area. This study investigates computer self-efficacy and perceived ease-of- use of personal digital assistants for academic activities by undergraduates in University of Ibadan. Relevant literature on academic activities of undergraduates, undergraduates Computer Self-efficacy, perceived ease-of-use of personal digital assistant and the challenges faced by undergraduates in the use of Personal Digital Assistant was reviewed. Book borrowing is a key service in libraries. Library users frequently visit the library for borrowing books compared to other library services. To predict book-borrowing service in a college library, Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model has been developed from the data pertaining to book borrowing during the year 1998 to 2013. The study found that the number of books borrowed one month and twelve months earlier could estimate the number of books borrowed in a month. Recent decades have witnessed explosion in the quantity of information produced, which in turn has created vast opportunities for information-based businesses. Thus, advertisers of information products (IPs) often use daily issues of newspapers to create public awareness on the nature, availability and the prices of their products. The types of advertising strategies adopted by the advertisers of the IPs vary and greatly determine the level of patronage of the products.
