AbstractBed bugs have been common household insects for centuries and are a challenge to eradicate, but the extent to which bed bug infestations psychologically impact individuals and families is largely uninvestigated. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to investigate the lived experiences of families in rural areas in Nevada who had experienced bed bug infestations. The transactional model of stress and coping was used as a framework for this research. Moral distress (MD) is a concept that has been well studied in nursing and other medical fields as a precursor to provider burnout. Understanding how MD impacts behavioral health (BH) clinicians provides insights for counselor educators and supervisors to identify clinical situations that often lead to MD. This qualitative phenomenological study explored how MD was experienced by five BH clinicians who have worked in residential and hospital settings providing counseling to maternal, opioid-using clients. Children whose oppositional defiance behavior (ODD) is not amended during their formative years could contribute to their possible growth into a juvenile delinquent. Parents must be mindful of the impact of their childrearing practices, as most parents emulate family traditions considered adequate by their parents and grandparents. The reoccurrence of generational parenting practice is professionally referenced as the "intergenerational effect." The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of male African American ex-offenders regarding homelessness and the search for housing after release from incarceration. This quantitative, nonexperimental survey was designed using a five-point Likert scale to measure the differences in the perceived importance scores for enrollment practices into nationally accredited YouTube diabetes prevention programs, or YouTube DPP, among online U.S. adult participants during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the social cognitive framework and was validated with Cronbach’s alpha. G* Power analysis for alpha level = 0.05, standard power = 0.08, and the effect size = 0.25 was calculated for a target population of over 100,000.
