At 12:45 he initiated a mine with his detector, causing him to stagger backwards and collapse about 4 metres behind. After first aid the victim left by ambulance, arriving at Battambang Provincial Hospital at 13:30. The victim was not wearing his safety spectacles, which were found in his hand (he claimed that he was about to put them on). The detector was "completely destroyed".

Intentions To Cooperate With Court Appointed Special Advocates (Casas) In Child Protective Proceedings: The Role Of Perceived Social Pressure In The Theory Of Planned Behavior, Yuko Sato Spofford
Dissertations and Theses
Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior with the addition of Perceived Moral Obligation was used to investigate the behavioral intentions of 65 caseworkers of the Children's Services Division (CSD) to cooperate with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) on cases involving abused or neglected children. Hierarchical regression analyses indicated that the subjective norms and perceived moral obligation constructs were significant predictors of the three behavioral intention categories and of all three categories combined. The two constructs, however, seem to have a considerable amount of overlap, suggesting that they may be measuring what is broadly called "social pressure to perform/not to perform 11 …

Attitude-Behavior Correspondence? Why Susan Smith Was Spared, Aubrey Immelman
Psychology Faculty Publications
This opinion column employs the Susan Smith homicide case to explore attitude-behavior correspondence. The article describes Richard LaPiere's (1934) landmark study "Attitudes vs. actions" published in the journal Social Forces and Leonard Bickman's (1972) study "Environmental attitudes and actions" published in the Journal of Social Psychology.

In Memoriam: Mickey Mantle, Richard C. Crepeau
In Memoriam: Mickey Mantle, Richard C. Crepeau
On Sport and Society
It was just a few weeks ago that we went through the spectacle of Mickey Mantle's liver transplant which gave us a preview of the sort of emotional outpouring that would come at his death. At the time the surgery seemed to be a success and there was hope that Mickey would survive. We now know that this was not to be, as the cancer spread quickly throughout Mickey's body. His doctors tell us that they have never seen such a virulent form of cancer as it moved with incredible speed. But then with Mickey nothing was ordinary.

A Comparative Review Of The Major Options For The Marketing Of Nigeria's Agricultural Commodities, M. O. Ojo, E. E. Inang, E. U. Ukeje
CBN Occasional Papers
The main aim of the paper is to critically review past commodity marketing systems in Nigeria, highlight some of the weaknesses which constrained their efficiency, as well as assess the performance of the present system and determine the advisability of retaining or modifying the present marketing arrangement. The performance of the Commodity Boards before their abolition in 1986 was adjudged unsatisfactory. However, since the abolition of the Boards, it has been observed that the new produce marketing arrangement has introduced some dynamism into commodity pricing as produce prices for the first time have been determined by the combined forces of …

A Study Of The Best Messages, Channels And Audiences To Increase Vocations To The Catholic Diocesan Priesthood, Martin R. Coppola
Theses and Dissertations
The purpose of this study was to determine the best messages, channels and audiences to increase vocations to the Catholic diocesan priesthood. The study sought to determine the best messages, channels for those messages and audiences to receive those messages in an effort to increase vocations to the Catholic diocesan priesthood.
In addition to providing a demographic profile of priests, seminarians and men considering a vocation from three different dioceses across the country, the study sought to determine general information on the messages and channels that had influenced men who are already priests, seminarians and considering a vocation.
This non-probability …
