Alcoholic drinks have been prepared and consumed in India from ancient times. Many techniques are applied to brew alcohol locally, out of which rice beer is very prominent. Scientific research has been conducted to standardize the brewing technique of local tribes for mass production and storage. This study aims to explore India's publication pattern in rice beer research during 1990-2019. This study analyzes a total of 84 papers on rice beer obtained from the Web of Science database. Environmental justice organizations aim to secure an equitable distribution of environmental resources through the participation and self-determination of affected people, particularly communities of color. Yet organizing in a market economy is complicated: As communities become greener, gentrification can follow, thereby inadvertently displacing low-income communities of color and reproducing environmental injustices. This study informs antiracist community practice methods by examining strategic and ethical dilemmas embedded within an environmental justice organization that is located in a gentrifying Mexican American neighborhood in Chicago. Racism-related stress is thought to contribute to widespread race/ ethnic health inequities via negative emotion and allostatic stress process up-regulation. Although prior studies document racerelated stress and health correlations, due to methodological and technical limitations, they have been unable to directly test the stress-reactivity hypothesis in situ. Guided by theories of constructed emotion and allostasis, we developed a protocol using wearable sensors and daily surveys that allowed us to operationalize and time-couple self-reported racism-related experiences, negative emotions, and an independent biosignal of emotional arousal. Contractual, short‐term employees are increasingly utilized to support organizational performance. The employee's perception of the psychological contract were explored in this qualitative study through semi‐structured interviews of 22 contractual workers. Psychological contract was fulfilled through transactional job tasks and psychological contract breaches were found in relationships with leadership and the organization. An exploratory examination from the contractual worker lens helped to influence the psychological contract on the employee performance and its use in leveraging this workforce to improve organizational performance.

Background Lead is a common environmental hazard because of its past use as an additive to gasoline and household paint. Some evidence suggests that children with histories of child abuse and neglect are at elevated risk for residence in communities and households with less desirable characteristics and high levels of exposure to environmental hazards and toxins.

The study upon which this article is based was to explore the Cataloguing Practices in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Libraries (CCTML). Cataloguing is a structured arrangement of the bibliographic details of all the information sources available in a library. It produces an inventory that serves as access points to the library resources. Focus group discussion and document analysis were used to collect data. The study analyzed 72940 papers indexed by Scopus and published by six Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee) during the period 2006-2015, which indicates that 72940 papers received 572583 citations in all during the period 2006-2015 in an average rate of citation per paper for six IITs is 7.85. Highest 4 authors are from IITKGP, followed by 3 authors each from IITR, IITD and IITB are highly cited by others. Black women are increasingly targets of mass incarceration and reentry. Black feminist writers call attention to scholars’ need to intersectionalize analyses around how Black women interface with state systems and social institutions. This study foregrounds narratives from Black women to understand their plight while navigating reentry through a phenomenological approach. Through semi-structured interviews, narratives are analyzed using critical frameworks that authentically unearths the lived realities of participants. Themes reveal that for Black mothers, reentry can be just as criminalizing as engaging crime itself. These women face dire consequences around their mothering that induce them into tremendous bouts of trauma. Existing …

Two studies investigated the interpersonal and intrapersonal functions of gratitude expressions. In Study 1, participants expressed gratitude to a confederate in a lab paradigm (or expressed it privately) and consequently rated the confederate as significantly warmer and more competent. Sharing gratitude also led to a fortification of basic needs (belonging, self-esteem, meaning in life, and control). Study 2 attempted to replicate these results in addition to evaluating their own warmth and competence. Participants completed a week-long gratitude intervention that tested potential differences in the proposed two-factor model of gratitude expressions (manner of expression: private/shared, focus of gratitude: person/situation). Offering flexible working arrangements (FWA), such as flextime and flexplace, is promising for employees who seek to find greater balance. Background: Vending machines can be a source of unhealthy food and beverages, potentially contributing to obesity and obesity-related diseases. However, vending machines are often a source of revenue for schools and hospitals. As such, interventions that improve the healthfulness of the snacks and beverages purchased may be a more acceptable solution than simply banning them from host institutions.

This study validated previous principal component analyses of the Brief Multidimensional Measure of Religiousness/Spirituality (BMMRS) that have been conducted with persons with diverse medical conditions and traumatic brain injuries from diverse cultures (India, US), ethnicities (African American, Caucasian, South Asian), and religions (Christian, Hindu, Muslim). Participants included 398 healthy undergraduate students who completed the BMMRS online. A principal components factor analysis identified a five factor solution accounting for 64.00% of the variance in scores, labelled as: (1) Positive Spiritual Experience; (2) Negative Spiritual Experience/Congregational Support; (3) Forgiveness; (4) Religious Practices; and (5) Positive Congregational Support. The expansion of Internet access offers new possibilities for human development through rapid access to information, knowledge, culture, entertainment, routine processes, and the possibility of establishing new forms of interaction with people who are many meters or thousands of kilometers away. Survey data on Internet use by children in Brazil reveals that, in 2018, 86% of Brazilian children 9 to 17 years old were Internet users (Brazilian Internet Steering Committee [CGI.br], 2019). As the Internet offers space with particular rules of interaction, it provides new ways to express behavior, contributing to human development.
