Individuals from small populations face challenges to initiating reproduction because stochastic demographic processes create local mate scarcity. In response, flexible dispersal patterns that facilitate the movement of individuals across groups have been argued to reduce mate search costs and inbreeding depression. Furthermore, factors that aggregate dispersed peoples, such as rural schools, could lower mate search costs through expansion of mating markets. However, research suggests that dispersal and school attendance are costly to fertility, causing individuals to delay marriage and reproduction. The University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries has developed a series of research data management sessions to provide support and promote awareness of available resources to the campus community, with an emphasis on outreach to graduate students and faculty. The Libraries does not have a formal research data management team or dedicated positions, and with this in mind, a team of librarians from Reference & Information Services, Digital Initiatives, and Scholarly Communication collaborated to plan opportunities for RDM programming.

This study aims to understand the attitude of students towards digital reading. Survey method was used to conduct the study among the postgraduate students of the universities in Kerala state of India. Stratified random sampling method was used to select a representative sample of 588 students from the teaching departments of the universities. Results reveal that majority of the students have an average level of attitude towards digital reading and the male students have more positive attitudes towards digital reading than the female students. Abstract

This study investigated teachers’ attitude and reading culture of pupils in selected staff primary schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The study population consisted of 400 primary four and five pupils and ten staff selected from three staff schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria adopting the total enumeration sampling technique. The questionnaire was the main instrument for data collection. It consisted of 42 questions arranged in four sections. Prior to the shutdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, distillers grains and other co-products of ethanol production played a crucial role in maintaining the rev-enue stream of dry mill ethanol plants (Irwin 2020). With low crude oil prices over the last half of the decade and corn prices holding steady over the same period of time, the margin for error in the ethanol industry was thin. More than a third of Nebraska’s ethanol plants either temporarily or permanently closed in 2019 (MacroTrends 2020); (York News Times 2019). Cedarville University pharmacy students began this month to help in COVID-19 contact tracing in Greene County. The students are working in collaboration with students from Wright State School of Medicine and its Master of Public Health program, and the Greene County Public Health team to help notify and provide medical insight to Miami Valley residents who have been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person.

Public choice literature divides the rationality of voting between instrumental and expressive. In this paper, we take the Vermont legislature in passing the H. 57 bill as a case to explain some of the determinants of expressive voting empirically. The H.57 bill declares that no government entity can interfere with, or restrict, a consenting individual’s right to abortion care across the entire gestation period. However, the bill has not changed the previously states quo of the state towards abortion rights. On December 9, 1948, the United Nations established its Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. Genocides, however, have continued to occur, affecting millions of people around the globe. The 1994 genocide in Rwanda resulted in an estimated 800,000 deaths. Global leaders were well aware of the atrocities, but failed to intervene. At the same time, the Western media's reports on Rwanda tended to understate the magnitude of the crisis. Canada has an extensive history of anti-discrimination legislation to reduce inequality for minority groups, yet, they continue to experience disadvantage. Recent literature has suggested that barriers for minority groups into and within work persists in part because of subtle processes like homophily as individuals develop a preference for similar others. Studies of professions are important because previous studies suggest homophily preferences along dimensions of race and gender are high within professions, contributing to widening inequalities. Social isolation is particularly relevant among elderly individuals who are more likely to need care and help with their physical and living needs. Little is known about whether receiving help correlates with social isolation in older adults living at home as often there is no focus from caregivers and helpers on older adults' social needs. Using data from the 2018 US National Health and Aging Trends Study, a sample of adults aged 65 plus on Medicare/Medicaid (N=4,321), I examine the relationship between social isolation and help.
