Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic impacted air traffic, industry bodies warned of the potential increase in wildlife strike risk. Prior to the pandemic, wildlife strikes were already a concern to the industry. We sought to evaluate industry warnings using interrupted time series analysis of wildlife strike trends in the United States. Using pre-pandemic wildlife strike trends, we compared a forecast of the expected monthly strike rates through the COVID-19 impact period (March 2020 to December 2020) to the actual wildlife strike rates for the same period. This study explored whether financial development and energy consumption affect environmental sustainability in Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. The empirical evidence used in this study was based on the standard fixed effects and the Arellano-Bover/Bundell Bond dynamic panel approach. Our empirical results demonstrated the importance of a financial development index and energy efficiency for reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability in the OECD. The mechanism through which financial development affects carbon emissions has been identified as energy consumption and foreign direct investment. This study examined the nexus between climate change and food security in Sub-Saharan African Region (SSA). With focus on 30 countries within the region, the study employed the dynamic panel data analysis using the one-step and two-step system generalized method of moments (GMM) model. The time observed spanned from 2000 through 2019. The study found that increase in greenhouse gas emission would lead to an increase in prevalence of malnourishment rate, resulting in a decrease in food security in SSA. This article introduces the R package did2s which implements the estimator introduced in Gardner (2022). The article provides an approachable review of the underlying econometric theory and introduces the syntax for the function did2s. Objective: The SPUR (Social, Psychological, Usage, and Rational) Adherence Profiling Tool is a recently developed adaptive instrument for measuring key patient-level risk factors for adherence problems. This study describes the SPUR questionnaire’s psychometric refinement and evaluation. Methods: Data were collected through an online survey among individuals with type 2 diabetes in the United States. 501 participants completed multiple questionnaires, including SPUR and several validated adherence measures. A Partial Credit Model (PCM) analysis was performed to evaluate the structure of the SPUR tool and verify the assumption of a single underlying latent variable reflecting adherence. The aim of the study was to explore the lived experience of counselor education and supervision students who reported experiencing symptoms of imposter phenomenon (IP). The population included counselor education and supervision students in their first year of their program, with a sample of convenience (N = 4). The method used in this study was an interoperative phenomenological analysis. Although “fake news” is as old as mass media itself, concerns over disinformation have reached a fever pitch in our current media environment. Online media outlets’ heavy reliance on user-generated content has altered the traditional gatekeeping functions and professional standards associated with traditional news organizations. This is an exploratory network intervention analysis (NIA) of a larger randomized controlled trial comparing two first-line treatments for winter seasonal affective disorder (SAD): light therapy (LT) and group cognitive-behavioral therapy for SAD (CBT-SAD). Of 177 adults with SAD randomized in the parent study, this study included the 159 participants (88 LT, 75 CBT-SAD) who completed treatment. NIA was applied to examine the relation of treatment type to changes in four previously identified symptom clusters on the Beck-Depression Inventory-II extended version. Survivors of sexual assault experience PTSD at increased rates compared to those who have experienced other forms of trauma. Individuals who experience sexual assault are also less likely to seek mental health treatment following the assault. Winter seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a recurrent subtype of major depressive disorder that onsets in the fall and winter and remits in the spring and summer. Hypersomnia is the most common sleep problem in SAD based on self-report measures, but studies using behavioral measures of sleep patterns in SAD are needed to corroborate this. After a failed declaration of statehood, their position towards Germany ostensibly changed, marking a shift from collaboration to resistance. Nicotine metabolite ratio (NMR) has been positively associated with increased cigarette consumption, greater lung cancer risk, and decreased smoking cessation. Opioid-dependent populations experience higher rates of smoking, difficulties with smoking cessation, and more negative smoking-related health outcomes compared to the general population of smokers. Even youth who want or need additional support from a mentor are bound to have many other important people in their lives, such as parents and other caregivers, siblings, teachers, and peers. Consequently, a mentor already may have or may need to establish relationships with other people in the mentee’s network of support.
