Dr. Kevin Jones, assistant professor of education and dean of the school of education, recently co-authored with F. Erik Brooks a biographical book on the famous American track and field athlete Jesse Owens. Owens won four gold medals at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, infuriating Adolph Hitler who wanted the games to serve as a platform for German ethnic superiority.

Cedarville University junior Jonathon Lipscombe could never have imagined his Lego stop-motion videos would turn into a globetrotting missions internship.
Lipscombe, a biblical studies major from Spring Lake, Michigan, has worked with Advancing Ministries of the Gospel (AMG) International for the last 17 months as a global advancement intern, capturing on film what is happening in missions around the world. Lipscombe has worked as both a virtual intern and in person with AMG Guatemala.

Serving the 200-plus students who take advantage of Cedarville University’s disability services, part of The Cove, Cedarville’s academic enrichment center, is The Cove’s goal. Thus, they renovated part of their facility to add a testing space. The result is “The Boardwalk,” a state-of-the-art testing room with 14 specially designed cubicles.

What are good sexual acts? It is not that surprising when cultural voices, without reference to God, argue for the inherent goodness of all “unharmful” sexual desires and acts. Regrettably, ethical pragmatism has influenced some Christian sexual ethics, and this influence is particularly evident with the issue of masturbation. What God defines as good sexual acts are those that fulfill his unitive and procreative purposes for sex within marriage. Given God’s unitive and procreative purposes for sex within the context of marriage, we argue that masturbation is a categorically impermissible act because it fulfills neither of these purposes, and we …
