Almost Quasi Clean Rings, Tufan Özdi̇n Jan 2021

Almost Quasi Clean Rings, Tufan Özdi̇n

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

The element $q$ of a ring $R$ is called quasi-idempotent element if $q^2=uq$ for some central unit $u$ of $R$, or equivalently $q=ue$, where $u$ is a central unit and $e$ is an idempotent of $R$. In this paper, we define that the ring $R$ is almost quasi-clean if each element of $R$ is the sum of a regular element and a quasi-idempotent element. Several properties of almost-quasi clean rings are investigated. We prove that every quasi-continuous and nonsingular ring is almost quasi-clean. Finally, it is determined that the conditions under which the idealization of an $R$-module $M$ is almost …

Preservers Of The Local Spectral Radius Zero Of Jordan Product Of Operators, Mhamed Elhodaibi, Somaya Saber

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

Let $\mathscr{B}(X)$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on an infinite-dimensional complex Banach space $X$, and denote by $r_{T}(x)$ the local spectral radius of any operator $T \in \mathscr{B}(X)$ at any vector $x \in X$. In this paper, we characterize surjective maps $\phi$ on $ \mathscr{B}(X)$ satisfying $ r_{\phi(T)\phi(A) + \phi(A)\phi(T)}(x)=0$ if and only if $ r_{TA+AT}(x)=0 $

Mixed Lagrange Function In Minimax Fractional Programming Problems, Shunchin Ho

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, the aim of this work to study mixed Lagrange function for the minimax fractional programming problem with nonsmooth exponential $(p,r)$-invex functions with respect to $\eta$. We introduced a new concept of saddle point for a mixed Lagrange function. We present the equivalence between a saddle point of the mixed Lagrange function and an optimal solution in the considered minimax fractional programming problem under appropriate nonsmooth exponential $(p,r)$-invexity hypotheses.

Ideal Triangulation And Disc Unfolding Of A Singular Flat Surface, İsmai̇l Sağlam Jan 2021

Ideal Triangulation And Disc Unfolding Of A Singular Flat Surface, İsmai̇l Sağlam

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

An ideal triangulation of a singular flat surface is a geodesic triangulation such that its vertex set is equal to the set of singular points of the surface. Using the fact that each pair of points in a surface has a finite number of geodesics having length $\leq L$ connecting them, where $L$ is any positive number, we prove that each singular flat surface has an ideal triangulation provided that the surface has singular points when it has no boundary components, or each of its boundary components has a singular point. Also, we prove that such a surface contains a …

We conditionally improve the results of Huxley [9], Jutila [13], Heath-Brown [5, 6] and Bourgain [1].

A Performance Assessment Of An Hdg Method For Second-Order Fredholm Integro-Differential Equation: Existence-Uniqueness And Approximation, Mehmet Fati̇h Karaaslan Jan 2021

A Performance Assessment Of An Hdg Method For Second-Order Fredholm Integro-Differential Equation: Existence-Uniqueness And Approximation, Mehmet Fati̇h Karaaslan

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, we obtain the existence--uniqueness of solution to the second-order linear Fredholm integro-differential equation (FIDE) with Dirichlet boundary condition by hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) method. A key property of these methods is to eliminate all internal degrees of freedom and to construct a linear system that only includes globally coupled unknowns at the element interfaces. After designing and implementing HDG algorithm, we provide some necessary and sufficient conditions based on the stabilization parameter and kernel function to guarantee the existence-uniqueness of the approximate solution. Then, some numerical examples are carried out to assess the performance of the present …

On The Paper "Regular Equivalence Relations On Ordered $*$-Semihypergroups", Niovi Kehayopulu

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

If $(S,\circ,\le)$ is an ordered hypersemigroup, an equivalence relation $\rho$ on $S$ is called congruence if $(a,b)\in\rho$ implies $(a\circ x, b\circ x)\in\rho$ and $(x\circ a, x\circ b)\in\rho$ for every $x\in S$; in the sense that for every $u\in a\circ x$ there exists $v\in b\circ x$ such that $(u,v)\in\rho$ and for every $u\in x\circ a$ there exists $v\in x\circ b$ such that $(u,v)\in\rho$. It has been proved in Turk J Math 2021(5) [On the paper "A study on (strong) order-congruences in ordered semihypergroups"] that if $S$ is an ordered hypersemigroup, then there exists a congruence $\rho$ on $S$ such that $S/\rho$ …

Synthesis Of Nonperipherally Tetra-[5-(Diethylamino)-2-Formylphenoxy] Substituted Metallophthalocyanines And Their Electrochemistry, Turgut Keleş, Di̇lek Ünlüer, Zekeri̇ya Biyiklioğlu, Yasemi̇n Ünver

Turkish Journal of Chemistry

3-[5-(diethylamino)-2-formylphenoxy]phthalonitrile (n-TY-CN), metallophthalocyanines n-TY-Co, n-TY-Cu, and n-TY-Mn bearing [5-(diethylamino)-2-formylphenoxy] groups at nonperipheral positions were prepared for the first time. These compounds were characterized with IR, NMR (only for n-TY-CN), mass and UV-vis (except n-TY-CN) spectroscopy. Voltammetric characterizations of n-TY-Co, n-TY-Cu, and n-TY-Mn revealed that while n-TY-Co, n-TY-Cu, and n-TY-Mn showed characteristic Pc ring and/or metal-based reduction reaction, n-TY-Co, n-TY-Cu, and n-TY-Mn were coated on the working electrode during the oxidation processes owing to the cationic electropolymerizations of the [5-(diethylamino)-2-formylphenoxy] substituents.

A Novel Design Of Current Differencing Transconductance Amplifier With Hightransconductance Gain And Enhanced Bandwidth, Shireesh Kumar Rai, Rishikesh Pandey, Bharat Garg, Sujit Patel

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

In this paper, transconductance gain of current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA) has been boosted by using a novel approach. Transconductance is generally varied by two well-known techniques. In the first technique, bias current of differential pair MOSFETs is varied whereas in the second technique, aspect ratios of differential pair MOSFETs are changed. The drawbacks of first technique are limited range of transconductance and higher power dissipation whereas second technique restricts dynamic range, output swing and bandwidth of CDTA. To overcome these drawbacks, 2 new structures of CDTA, namely high transconductance gain CDTAs (HTG-CDTA-I & HTG-CDTA-II) have been proposed. HTG-CDTA-I utilizes …

A Novel Approach For Intrusion Detection Systems: V-Ids, Kenan İnce

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

An intrusion detection system (IDS) is a security mechanism that detects abnormal activities in a network. An ideal IDS must detect intrusion attempts and maybe categorize them for further research and keep false-positive analysis at a very low level. IDSs are used in the analysis of network traffic data at all sizes. Studies on this subject focused on machine learning techniques. Even though the performance rates are high, it is seen that processes such as data understanding, preprocessing, and consistency tests are time-consuming and laborious. For this reason, the use of deep learning (DL) models that automatically perform the mentioned …

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Service differentiation is an indispensable requirement for transmission in optical burst switching (OBS) networks, which can be based on offset-time, burst-length, or both, offset-time and burst-length. The offset time based approach sets a large offset time for high priority bursts and a small offset time for low priority bursts. Whereas, with burst length based approach, high priority bursts are short in size and low priority bursts are long in length. A combination of these two approaches promises to provide flexible service differentiation. The paper proposes a model of service differentiation burst assembling and padding, in which the assembly time threshold …

A New Gauss--Newton-Like Method For Nonlinear Equations, Haijun Wang, Qi Wang Jan 2021

A New Gauss--Newton-Like Method For Nonlinear Equations, Haijun Wang, Qi Wang

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, a new Gauss-Newton-like method that is based on a rational approximation model with linear numerator is proposed for solving nonlinear equations. The new method revises the $J_k^\mathrm{T}J_k$ matrix by a rank-one matrix at each iteration. Furthermore, we design a new iterative algorithm for nonlinear equations and prove that it is locally q-quadratically convergent. The numerical results show that the new proposed method has better performance than the classical Gauss-Newton method.

Decompositions Of Semigroups, Rida E. Zenab

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this article we discuss the factorisations of semigroups and monoids in the context of direct, semidirect and Zappa-Szep products addressing the question of uniqueness. An equivalence between external and internal Zappa-Szep product of groups and monoids is known, but no such correspondence exists for semigroups in general. We prove the equivalence between external and internal Zappa-Szep product of semigroups subject to certain conditions in this article. We end with some illustrative examples of the Zappa-Szep product of the bisimple inverse monoids.
