What started as a capstone project to develop a device that could save a life if the carotid artery is severed for a group of Cedarville University juniors and seniors in 2019 is now extremely close to receiving full FDA approval for manufacturing and distribution on a nationwide scale.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate American secondary students’ attitudes towards foreign languages (FL). When researching attitudes towards FLs, Dörnyei’s L2 Motivational Self System (L2MSS) was used as a framework to investigate attitudes, as attitudes affect motivation. While there is much literature on attitudes towards FLs (Artamonova, 2020; Drewelow 2011, Knouse et al., 2021) and motivation towards learning a second language (Dörnyei, 2009; Dörnyei & Kubanyiova, 2013; Kormos & Csizér, 2008; Lightbown & Spada, 2018; Ushioda & Dörnyei, 2012), there is insufficient research on Dörnyei’s L2MSS being used to investigate FLs or used to investigate a United …

The purpose of this study is to begin investigating how Amazigh ethnic identity is currently being preserved in Morocco, specifically through urban, multilingual, literate Amazigh women and Amazigh language, specifically Tarifit. There has been much research in the past several decades on rural, monolingual Amazigh women. Much of current research agrees that Amazigh women have played an invaluable role in preserving Amazigh language and identity through a multitude of means such as art, teaching their children Tamazight, and oral storytelling (Belahsen et al., 2017; Gagliardi, 2020; Hoffman, 2006; Laghssais, 2021, Sadiqi, 2007). How about rowing a boat 3,000 miles in the Atlantic Ocean from the tip of Africa to Antigua?
That’s the adventure of the “Foar Brothers,” a team that consists of three of the Hamilton brothers—Timothy, Thomas, and Trent, and their nephew, Ben Clark. The oldest brother, Troy, was scheduled to be part of the team but a back injury sidelined him, so Clark took his place.

Kaley Aurand, a 2023 criminal justice graduate of Cedarville University, was sponsored by the Xenia Police Department (XPD) in the completion of her training at the police academy. Today, Aurand, who graduated from the five-month Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy at Sinclair Community College in November, is now a full-time police officer for the Xenia Police Department.
