Derek Zelenka, a 2005 graduate of Cedarville University, works as a detective for the City of Brunswick Police in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, and as a hostage negotiator for the Southwest Enforcement Bureau SWAT team in greater Cleveland. Zelenka has worked as a school resource officer for the last eight years, and he also works in youth ministry at his local church.

One of the leading Christian college expos for middle and high school students—the Creation College Expo — will take place Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky. And, in the midst of the event leading worship will be Cedarville University’s Jubilate choir. The expo will connect more than 1,500 students in grades 7-12 with representatives from Christian colleges from across the country who adhere to biblical authority and teach young-earth creation. Students will also experience Bible history up close as they tour the Ark Encounter — a life-size representation of Noah’s Ark.
