Illegal immigration is at the forefront of today’s news and political debates, and for many Americans that’s all it is, talk. But for those living in cities by the Mexican border, immigration becomes much more real.

For years, Dr. John Tarwater, assistant professor of finance at Cedarville University, lived and worked in the McAllen, Texas, a predominantly hispanic community along the U.S.-Mexico border. Under The Umbrella: Strategies For Working With Asd Students, Shannon Elise Hallisy

Master of Education Applied Research Projects

A literature review was conducted to examine the various strategies that have been implemented with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Interventions were identified and examine regarding their effectiveness with these individuals. Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research studies from several different countries were included, in order to provide a global perspective. The main areas that were examined were academically-focused interventions, behavioral and social interventions, student perceptions, and teacher-focused studies. Cedarville University celebrates the legacy of Warren Wiersbe, one of the foremost Bible teachers, professors and authors of the 20th century. Known as the pastor’s pastor, Wiersbe passed away Thursday, May 2 at the age of 89—two weeks before his 90th birthday.
