In an announcement on July 15, BJ Bechtel, a 1999 Cedarville graduate, was named CEO of Inner City Impact (ICI) in Chicago. Bechtel first worked with ICI during a spring break missions trip through Cedarville’s Global Outreach. He returned to ICI the next summer, took a full-time job after graduation and has worked at ICI 18 years.

Cedarville University’s supermileage cars and robotics team made an impression at national competitions. But now they’re impressing at the grandstand.
The Ohio State Fair wrapped up August 6, but not before Cedarville’s student-engineers scored Best Technology Exhibit for both the supermileage car and robotics displays. The Ohio Technology and Engineering Educators Association awarded the trophies to both teams.

Starting fall 2017, Cedarville University will offer two programs to meet the growing need for Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals – a Spanish for healthcare personnel minor and a certificate in medical Spanish.
Students completing the Spanish for healthcare personnel minor can earn the certificate in medical Spanish by taking an additional elective, completing a clinical experience with Spanish-speaking patients and successfully completing a final Spanish proficiency exam.
