We propose a new encryption primitive called Membership Encryption. Let P(G) be a privacy-preserving token on a group attribute/identity G, such that given P(G) it is hard to know the attributes in G. In this membership encryption, if an encryption takes as input an attribute A and the token P(G) , the decryption requires holding the membership A ∈ G, i.e., A belongs to this group attribute. Membership encryption is applicable in constructing membership proof A∈P(G) with privacy preserving on group attribute and the membership. Metamodelling produces a 'metamodel' capable of generalizing the domain. A metamodel gathers all domain concepts and their relationships. It enables partitioning a domain problem into sub-problems. Decision makers can then develop a variety of domain solutions models based on mixing and matching solutions for sub-problems indentified using the metamodel. The microstructure evolution of cold-rolled and isochronally annealed Fe-24Mn-3Al-2Si-1Ni-0.06C twinning induced plasticity steel was investigated by electron back-scattering diffraction (EBSD). Deformation behaviour of a fully recrystallised sample was tracked in a selected area as a function of the true strain using a combination of interrupted tensile testing and EBSD. The results show that the cold rolled microstructure contained a large fraction of primary and secondary twins as well as remnants of annealing twins carried over from the prior hot rolling stage. This paper examines the impact of speed limits on network efficiency, in terms of total travel time of all road users, and equity among road users from different origin-destination (OD) pairs, in terms of the change of travel time after imposing a speed limit scheme. We find that after imposing a speed limit scheme, the total travel time of all road users may decrease or increase; road users of some OD pairs may experience longer travel time, while other OD pairs may have shorter travel time. The sensitivity of the ArcCHECK 3D dosimeter in detecting VMAT delivery errors has been investigated. Dose and leaf positional errors of different magnitudes were introduced to whole arc and individual control points (CPs) of a simple open arc VMAT plan. The error introduced and error free plans were delivered and measured using the ArcCHECK device. The measured doses were compared against the treatment planning system calculated doses using gamma criteria with 2 percent 2mm and 3 percent 3mm tolerance levels. In this study a simple method using standard flood-field corrected Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID) images for routine Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Quality Assurance (QA) was investigated. The EPID QA system was designed and tested on a Siemens Oncor Impression linear accelerator with an OptiVue 1000ST EPID panel (Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc, USA) and an Elekta Axesse linear accelerator with an iViewGT EPID (Elekta AB, Sweden) for 6 and 10 MV IMRT fields with Step-and-Shoot and dynamic-MLC delivery. Total electron-scattering cross sections of pyrimidine, the basic component for the nucleic bases cytosine and thymine, were measured for electron energies from 5 eV to 1 keV using the linear transmission method. The measured results were compared to semiempirical data obtained by means of the additivity rule and to experimental data for benzene since it has a similar ring structure and the same number of valence electrons as pyrimidine. Furthermore, integral elastic and inelastic electron-scattering cross sections of pyrimidine were calculated by applying the spherical complex optical potential model. Urban areas have a high sensitivity to extreme temperature events such as heatwaves due to increased absorption and re-radiation of thermal energy from man-made materials as well as anthropogenic heat outputs. Variations in urban form, land use, and surface cover result in spatial variability in temperatures across urban areas, meaning that exposure to extreme events is variable at the sub-city scale. We present negative ion formation from collisions of neutral potassium atoms with D-ribose (C5H10O5), the sugar unit in the DNA/RNA molecule. From the negative ion time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectra, OH− is the main fragment detected in the collision range 50–100 eV accounting on average for 50% of the total anion yield. Prominence is also given to the rich fragmentation pattern observed with special attention to O− (16 m/z) formation. These results are in sharp contrast to dissociative electron attachment experiments. The TOF mass spectra assignments show that these channels are also observed, albeit with a much lower relative intensity. Branching …

Well-crystallized Mn3O4-anchored reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites have been successfully synthesized via a facile, effective, energy-saving, and scalable microwave hydrothermal technique for potential application as supercapacitor material. Integrating these nanostructures resulted in a strong synergistic effect between the two materials, consequently leading to a hybrid composite with higher specific capacitance compared to the bare Mn3O4 nanoparticles. The results from different sorts of characterization indicate that the Mn3O4 particles were deposited and anchored on graphene sheets. The flexural performance of an RC beam can be improved using the near-surface mounted (NSM) FRP strengthening technique. In such FRP-strengthened RC beams, debonding failure at the two bar ends may occur due to high interaction forces in the bar-end regions between the RC beam and the FRP bars. The effect of austenitizing on the microstructure and hardness of two martensitic stainless steels was examined with the aim of supplying heat-treatment guidelines to the user that will ensure a martensitic structure with minimal retained austenite, evenly dispersed carbides and a hardness of between 610 and 740 HV (Vickers hardness) after quenching and tempering. The steels examined during the course of this examination conform in composition to medium-carbon AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, except for the addition of 0.13% vanadium and 0.62% molybdenum to one of the alloys. The primary aim of the current study is to investigate the self-reported practices, attitudes and levels of training of stop smoking practitioners (SSPs) working at the English National Health Service's (NHS) Stop Smoking Services (SSSs). A secondary aim was to investigate differences between 'Specialist' and 'Community' SSPs. An online survey was conducted with 484 SSPs. Most (94%) SSPs offered one-to-one appointments to smokers, only 43% always used the abrupt quit model and 30% reported ever recommending particular medication to clients. SSPs reported an average of 3.7 days training when starting work and 26% reported never observing an experienced practitioner before …

The internationalization of websites requires compelling navigation experience for users from diverse cultures. This research investigates the effects of cultural cognitive styles on user perception of website complexity and the subsequent influence on user satisfaction towards the website. More specifically, the website complexity is examined along three dimensions: component, coordinative, and dynamic. Laboratory experiments involving participants from China and United States were used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that the effect of objective complexity on perceived complexity is contingent on cultural cognitive styles. We report a systematic investigation of the thermoelectric properties of n-type Ga-doped ZnO synthesized using different ball milling conditions. Samples fabricated by the high-energy ball milling resulted in a highly dense layered structure with randomly distributed voids. These samples measured the lowest room temperature thermal conductivity, i.e., 27 W/mK due to increased phonon scattering. Furthermore, the Ga:ZnO system showed a metal–semiconductor transition above 300 K with transition temperature decreasing with increasing doping level. Measurement of the activation energy revealed the presence of one donor level around 3.9–7.8 meV and a deeper donor level around 15.4–18.1 meV below the conduction band …

Polypyrrole (PPy) with photonic crystal structures were synthesized from Morpho butterfly wings using a two-step templating process. In the first step photonic crystal SiO2 butterfly wings were synthesized from Morpho butterfly wings and in the second step the SiO2 butterfly wings were used as templates for the replication of PPy butterfly wings using an in situ polymerization method. The SiO2 templates were then removed from the PPy butterfly wings using a HF solution. The hierarchical structures down to the nanometer level, especially the photonic crystal structures, were retained in the final PPy replicas, as evidenced directly by field-emission scanning electron …
