This study examined records management practices in public universities of Nigeria. Qualitative research using a single case study approach with a semi-structured interview technique was used to extract data from 14 stakeholders in records and information management regarding the research topic. Software for qualitative research analysis ATLAS-ti 7.0 was used to aid the data analysis. The result of the study among others shows that RIM is predominantly conducted manually in the university with a lot of challenges. A sample of three university libraries in Ahmedabad received the survey. Descriptive and instructive research is conducted on the usage of resources, resource preferences, Internet use, browsers and search engines, databases for e-resource acquisition, and so on. The majority of students are aware of both sites, and their preferences for both are excellent. However, the majority of them want electronic resources.
