Purpose: This study examined the printed and electronic information resources of public libraries of Pakistan, and to know the budget allocated by the libraries for the procurement of information resources.

Methodology: The study was quantitative in nature and the questionnaire-based survey was conducted to collect data from 119 public libraries of the country. The collected data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 23.

Results: It was found that the heads of the majority of libraries were LIS professionals; however significant number of libraries were being run by non-professional staff. The availability of information resources in libraries …

PURPOSE: This study is a bibliometric analysis of the “Journal of Library and Information Science” published between 2013 to 2020. Total number of citations, year-wise distribution, authorship pattern, authors productivity, degree of collaboration of authors are examined.

DESIGN/ RESEARCH METHODOLOGY/ APPROACH: The data for the period of 2013 to 2020 was collected by downloading articles from the Journal of Library and Information Science website http://jlisnet.com. References were arranged in MS Excel worksheet for the study. In this study, Subramanyam’s formula was used for measuring degree of collaboration. Arunachal Pradesh (A.P.) has several private universities offering LIS schooling, but no Government authority organizations currently offer LIS. The author further recognizes a few issues concerning LIS schooling in A.P alongside specific ideas for development. The findings suggest that more effort is required to establish LIS education in AP by the authorities of Arunachal Pradesh, Rajiv Gandhi University, Library Association, and LIS Professionals of Arunachal Pradesh to provide stable and quality education in LIS.

This study analyses the awareness and use of open access scholarly resources by research scholars of Bangalore University. A total 97 research scholars are selected from Bangalore University.
