The authors performed a citation analysis of 15 source papers that were written in the field of corrosion chemistry. Each of the source papers were written on the specific topic of the corrosion of mild steel. The researchers were from a variety of different countries, including China, Egypt, Germany, India, Lesotho, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, and the United States. This study was conducted to assess the distribution of librarians by university, gender, years of experience and qualification and to determine the influence of user education marketing strategy on students’ use of libraries in four Nigerian Universities. Ex-post-facto design was used for the study and the instruments for data collection were two researcher-developed questionnaires, one for the librarians and the other for the students. Data obtained were analyzed using independent t-test statistics. This descriptive study examined work values, achievement motivation and technostress as determinants of job burnout among the library personnel in federal universities in Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design and 646 library personnel from 18 automated federal university libraries participated in the study. The sampling technique used was single stage random sampling technique. This study was undertaken to determine the information seeking behavior and library use by research scholars at the Banasthali University. The overall purpose of the study was to determine what their information requirements and also determine their awareness of library services available to them. The study collected data on the information requirements of researchers. Data were gathered from 100 researchers out of 150 through open and closed questionnaire. Findings indicate that guidance in the use of library resources and services is necessary to help researchers meet some of their information requirements.

The paper discussed the impact of electronic information resources as an enabler of research activities in Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. A structured questionnaire was used to survey the opinions of the researchers who are the regular users of the library under study.

The study showed various electronic information resources available and the degree of its utilization by the researchers and postgraduate students. There is a significant influence of level of availability of electronic information resources on utilization [F(3,79) = 10,337, P<0.05]. The study also revealed that only 6.0% of respondents use e-resources frequently thus, the usage of e-resources is still very low in the university community. Consequently, it was recommended that the library should organize teaching of information literacy skills through user education programmes.

This paper examines the use of community-based library and information services in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze data using frequency, tables and percentages. The instruments used in collecting data were a combination of questionnaire, interview and observation. The purpose of this study was to measure the job satisfaction of library professionals serving in public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Spector’s Job Satisfaction (JSS) scale was used to examine the job satisfaction of respondents’. A total of 49 responses were collected and analyzed. The result shows that although library professionals working in these institutions were slightly satisfied with their nature of work, they were dissatisfied with supervision, benefits, promotion. Revision of service structure, promotion policies, improvement in academic qualification and advance training were suggested by the researchers.

In this study an attempt is made to investigate the scholarly communications in College & Research Libraries journal during the period of 1997-2011 and to study the key dimensions of its publication trends. The aim was to ascertain the existing sources of funds for these libraries, re-appraise the available funding strategies and provide practicable alternatives. The purpose of this study was to increase the understanding of the ways that people find health information in Iran, as a developing country, and also to identify how they evaluate the roles of public libraries in providing their users with health information.
