This study examined the performance of selected IFLA journals for 22 years between 2001 to 2021. The methodology used in this study includes Annual Growth Rate (AGR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), and Doubling Time (Dt), as well as countries and institutions. With the highest productivity and distribution of publications per year, used to evaluate research productivity. To obtain the information required for this study, the Scopus database was consulted. Abstract

The study investigated the use of social media networking sites and academic performance of Library and Information Science (LIS) undergraduates in federal universities in Southern Nigeria. In carrying out this study, three research questions and one null hypotheses were tested at P < 0.05. Descriptive survey design was utilized for the study. The population for the study is 1,440 undergraduates in the Department of Library and Information Science in federal universities in Southern Nigeria. The total enumeration and accidental sampling techniques were used for this study. The instruments used for this study were a questionnaire with the title “Usage of Social Networking Sites and Academic Performance Questionnaire (USNSAPQ)” and the Cumulative Grade Point Average Scores of the undergraduates for 2015/2016 academic session. The data obtained were analysed, using frequency, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistic. Findings revealed that the academic performance of undergraduates in LIS was in good standing. The reasons for undergraduates’ usage of social networking sites were to communicate and interact with friends, to send and receive messages from friends, to read news update, to be informed about social events and for leisure/entertainment. Undergraduates never made use of social networking sites for academic purposes. It was further revealed that there was no significant relationship between usage of social networking sites and academic performance of undergraduates. The study recommended among others that orientation, workshop and seminar should be organized by librarians and university authorities on the use of social media sites for academic purpose. Undergraduates’ attendance at such orientations, workshop and seminars should be made compulsory.

The goal of this study is to know the status of the documents that VNMKV University library has uploaded to the ICAR's Krishikosh repository. According to the statistics, VNMKV University library uploaded the most thesis materials for M. Sc. (80.34 %) degree course related thesis documents followed by Ph.D. (9.68 %) and M. Tech. (3.36% ) degree courses respectively. Thesis-type documents were discovered to be the most prevalent (99.01%), followed by Other Publications (0.60%.) and Reports (0.38 %) . This study examined library usage statistics (2018-2020): a prerequisite for evaluating information service delivery in Nyong Essien library, University of Uyo, Nigeria. Four research questions were raised to guide the study. Historical research design was employed. Record sheets which comprised Head Counts and number of consulted information sources in serials, reference and e-resource from 2018-2020 academic sessions were used by the researchers. All records were purposively sampled. The instrument for data collection was records of users in the Readers and E-resources. The records were face validated by the researchers. The study investigated the library services and use of information resources as influencing factors on effective research by postgraduate students in two Nigerian Universities. The study adopted a descriptive survey designed, questionnaire was used for the data collection. A total of 250 questionnaire were distributed across the two universities using the simple random sampling technique while 216 copies retrieved were used for the analysis. The study observed that factors influencing library use have a negative and significant association (r = -0.248, n =142, p< 0.05) with challenges faced when using the library and a positive significant association (r = 0.256, n = 139, p < 0.05) with postgraduate students use of university library. The study also found out that postgraduate students use of university library have a positive and insignificant relationship ( = 0.042, 0.378, p> 0.05) with intensity of library information resources but show a positive and significant relationship ( 0.231, …
