ABSTRACT

The study investigated the influence of use of mobile learning applications on academic engagement of Library and Information Science students in universities in South-West, Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design and questionnaire was used for data collection. One hundred and ninety-nine (199) copies of the questionnaire were administered out of which 184 copies were retrieved and fit for data analysis resulting in a 93% response rate. The study investigated how perceptions and IT competencies of academic librarians influenced their use of Cloud-Based Storage (CBS) systems in libraries in South-West Nigeria. Primary data were collected from 127 academic librarians working in 11 university libraries across six Southwestern states of Nigeria. The answers from these valid copies of the questionnaire were descriptively (frequency count and percentage) and inferentially (regression statistics) analyzed using SPSS version 23. The Department of Posts, Government of India, to date, has set up six full-time postal training centres (PTC) across India to meet the training requirements of its five-lakh strong workforce. PTC Madurai (PTCM), situated in Tamil Nadu, is one such training centre. PTCM has taken a proactive initiative to explore and adopt information technologies in the training and learning domains. The assessment of highly cited papers published in a single journal is an important parameter to appraise the research. The present study aims to analyze the attributes of 100 highly cited papers published in The Journal of Academic Librarianship (JAL). The data of targeted papers was obtained from the Web of Science database on the 2nd Week of February 2022. The highly cited papers were published between 1983 to 2016 and these papers were cited 6,289 times with an average of 628.9 citations per paper. The purpose of this pilot study is to discover how academic instruction librarians discuss the concept of information literacy with faculty colleagues outside the library and information science field; how they negotiate shared meanings of the term; and what pedagogical actions result from these conversations. This study investigated the digital literacy skills of Library and Information Science undergraduates in South-West, Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design, and questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents. Sample size of one hundred and ninety-nine (199) was determined using Taro Yamane’s (1973) formula and multi stage sampling technique was used for the selection of 199 respondents from 518 population of the study. ABSTRACT This paper investigated the influence of availability of electronics resources and special collections on Students Satisfaction with the Use of School Library in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. The study was carried out by using a descriptive survey research design. Two specific objectives, two research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study, hypotheses was tested at 0.05 level of significance.
