For the past six years, Major League Soccer has tried to penetrate American homes with its brand of soccer. Television advertisements and in-house surveys have been made to encourage people to view soccer as a spectator sport. The league, though, has been on decline since its first year and the question still remains why soccer has a hard time being a spectator sport in America. This study examined how Youth Soccer parents perceive the league.
The author went to various Youth Soccer games and registrations and used an intercept survey of the soccer parents. The parents were asked if they …

Project Summaries
This report summarizes findings from our study of the Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) CityWorks curriculum. This high school government curriculum was designed to respond to growing recognition of the need to promote commitments and capacities associated with civic engagement. Our data consists of pre/post surveys from CityWorks classes and control classrooms. We also observed classrooms and collected interview data through focus groups.

Pyramid Schemes: An Exploratory Study Into An Emerging Form Of White-Collar Crime, Matthew V. Carter

This project was conducted to explain why people engage in white-collar crime with specific attention given to the rationales and motivations by individual participants in a pyramid scheme.
This exploratory case study utilized existing files from a law enforcement investigation as well as newspaper articles that covered the investigation.
Qualitative data in the form of content analysis of these secondary data sources was used to capture themes related to the rationales and motivations behind a person becoming involved in a pyramid scheme. The Anchor: 2002
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). As of Fall 2019 The Anchor has moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (the farm bill) has been recognized as potentially providing agricultural producers with enhanced financial support. The bill has titles (sections) that address commodity programs, conservation, trade, nutrition programs, credit, rural development, research, forestry and energy. Some provisions are intended to indirectly affect producer prices and costs of production through trade promotion and research, for example. The commodity and conservation programs promise direct support for agriculture based on planting history and production, as well as payments for following specific production practices expected to conserve resources and protect the environment.
