Research Collection School Of Economics

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Cambodia, in close collaboration with various government institutions, has been conducting poverty analysis and mapping refinement. The main objectives of the refinement have been (i) to refine core poor areas in Cambodia, (ii) to identify priority areas for social sector interventions such as those targeted to adult and child education, health and nutrition interventions, and (iii) to identify priority areas for assisting variable population groups such as those in flood and drought prone areas, forest and fishing concession areas.

History Of Lotteries And The Lottery System In Rhode Island, John Russell Bartlett

John Russell Bartlett (1805-1886) was Rhode Island’s Secretary of State from 1855 to 1872. During his tenure as secretary of state he wrote and published a number of books and articles on the history of the state.

This document contains five newspaper articles that were published in the Manufacturers and Farmers Journal between October and December 1856. These articles were the first attempt to relate the history of Rhode Island’s lotteries and came only in the decade following the last lottery held in the state up to that time.

This document also includes an introduction by Russell J. DeSimone.

In April 2003 the University Library of the University of Rhode Island presented an exhibition entitled Rhode Island Lotteries – Three Centuries of History. The exhibition was a comprehensive look at the role of lotteries in Rhode Island as well as a study of the evolution of the role of lotteries over a period spanning three hundred years. The Retired Executives Advisory Panel (REAP) Sun Coast Papers were donated to the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library to serve as a record of that organization’s activities during its first two decades. Formed in 1977 and incorporated in 1978, the Retired Executives Advisory Panel (REAP) provided civic leadership on important issues faced by residents of Pinellas County. In 1994, the United States initiated a research and development (R&D) program to develop new, internationally shareable technologies for humanitarian deminers and for U.S. troops performing peacekeeping and stability operations.
