Language Disfluency And Diagnosis In The Deaf Inpatient Population, Neil S. Glickman

Multisystemic Therapy: Improving Services To Persons Who Are Deaf Or Hard Of Hearing, Frederick D. Staten
JADARA
Research and evaluation have been responsible for not only identifying revolutionary methods of study, but also contributing to progressive changes within these same methods. Continued studies in therapeutic methods that have been used with deaf and hard of hearing populations have shown significant barriers that exists between the world of the hearing and the world of the deaf. We'll examine how the application Family Preservation/ Multisystemic Therapy (FP/MST) in an intensive home-based format could not only bridge significant shortfalls in service deliveries, but also potentially enhance opportunities for success for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.

A Model For A National Collaborative Service Delivery System, Annette Reichman
JADARA
This article provides the framework for a national approach to address the unmet needs of deaf and hard of hearing individuals that are most at-risk, those individuals traditionally identified as low functioning deaf (LFD). More importantly, this paper should result in a call for action to mobilize the deaf community, policy makers and federal program professionals toward the establishment of a …
