A Longitudinal Study Of Spirituality, Character Strengths, Subjective Well-Being, And Prosociality In Middle School Adolescents, Ariel Kor, Steven Pirutinsky, Mario Mikulincer, Anat Shoshani, Lisa Miller

Using data from 1,352 middle-school Israeli adolescents, the current study examines the interface of spirituality and character strengths and its longitudinal contribution to subjective well-being and prosociality. Participants were approached three times over a 14-months period and completed measures of character strengths, spirituality, subjective well-being (positive emotions, life satisfaction), and prosociality. Findings revealed a fourth-factor structure of character strengths that included the typical tripartite classification of intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intellectual strengths together with spirituality emerging as a statistically autonomous factor. Spirituality was stable over time and contributed to higher subjective well-being and prosociality both cross- sectionally and longitudinally. Discussion focuses …

Improving graduation rates of students who have selected and been admitted to engineering majors is a pivotal strategy in supporting national initiatives to increase the number of engineering graduates. Research suggests that the degree to which a student is attached to or belongs to engineering as a discipline better explains persistence-related outcomes than lack of interest and ability. As a result, identity frameworks have proven useful for furthering the understanding of engineering persistence. This study analyses the Eosinophilia research output carried out during the year 1998 – 2017 the different parameters including authorship pattern, growth, Time Series Analysis Degree of Collaboration, Institutions’ contribution, most productivity journals were analysed. The overall growth rate of literature output is found to be positive with an increasing trend in Eosinophilia research throughout the study period. Two and more authored papers constitute majority of the contribution and degree of collaboration had a maximum value of 7.14. The result shows that research development activities are increasing in Eosinophilia research in India.

The Present Study analyzed research productivity in Journal of Documentation (JDoc) for a period of 30 years between 1989 and 2018. Web of Science database a service from Clarivate Analytics has been used to download citation and source data. Bibexcel and Histcite application software have been used to present the datasets. Analysis part focuses on the parameters like citation impact at local and global level, influential authors and their total output, ranking of contributing institutions and countries. This study attempts to analyze the quality of Ph.D theses awarded by Mahatma Gandhi University, South India in the field of Social Sciences through their in-text citations and bibliography. This is done by foregrounding the mistakes made by the scholars in their theses. A Citation analysis on 8289 citations cited in 59 LIS doctoral theses submitted to Kuvempu University (15 theses) and University of Mysore (44 theses) has been carried out to know the citation pattern. This study explored the information needs and sources used by engineers in Nigeria with a questionnaire randomly administered to 120 respondents using a survey research approach. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics. There were more male (89.7%) than female engineers, the higher greater percentage (45.2%) being between 41 and 50 years, and many (40.5%) had PhD degrees, with most being senior lecturers. The main areas of specialisation were materials and metallurgy, electrical and electronic engineering and agricultural engineering.
