With the increased occurrence of forest fires around the world, interest in the chemistry of pyrogenic organic matter (pyOM) and its fate in the environment has increased. Upon leaching from soils by rain events, significant amounts of dissolved pyOM (pyDOM) enter the aquatic environment and interact with microbial communities that are essential for cycling organic matter within the different biogeochemical cycles. In the social and cognitive sciences, crowdsourcing provides up to half of all research participants. Despite this popularity, researchers typically do not conceptualize participants accurately, as gig-economy worker-participants. Applying theories of employee motivation and the psychological contract between employees and employers, we hypothesized that pay and pay raises would drive worker-participant satisfaction, performance, and retention in a longitudinal study. In an experiment hiring 359 Amazon Mechanical Turk Workers, we found that initial pay, relative increase of pay over time, and overall pay did not have substantial influence on subsequent performance. We examined the factor structure of the recently developed worker well-being measure the Workplace PERMA Profiler and relationships between PERMA dimensions (i.e., positive emotions, engagement, positive relationships, meaning, accomplishment) and job performance (viz., task performance, organizational citizenship behaviors benefiting individuals and the organization at large). The measure exhibited metric (i.e., weak) invariance across samples of participants from the U.S. (N = 284) and China (N = 420). OBJECTIVE: Digital monitoring technologies (e.g., smart-phones and wearable devices) provide unprecedented opportunities to study potentially harmful behaviors such as suicide, violence, and alcohol/substance use in real-time. Over the past twenty years, Thailand’s rice farmers have become one of the country’s most important and active political constituencies, a sharp contrast from the previous decades wherein they were treated with neglect or even derision by the Thai political elite. These “political peasants” now actively advocate for and successfully receive extensive subsidies from both authoritarian and democratic governments. What has driven this change? This paper attempts to explore the relationship between oil price and stock price using quantile regression for Thailand’s economic data to generate several models. The main findings are that Thailand’s oil price has a positive relationship with stock price. Increase in oil price result in increase of stock price. Additionally, short term interest rates, nominal exchange rate and CPI have a negative relationship with stock price. An increase in these variables cause stock prices to fall.

This study aimed to analyze factors that affected the unemployment rate in Thailand during 2011 to 2021, including inflation rate, real GDP growth rate, real gross fixed capital formation, real exports of goods and services, the dummy variables of year quarters and the dummy variable of COVID-19 by utilizing ordinary least square (OLS) method on the quarterly time series data from Q1:2011 to Q3:2021 from BOT, MOC, and NESDC. The objectives of this research were to examine Chinese consumers' exposure to Taobao live streaming of Thai brands, Chinese consumers' purchase behavior of Thai brands via Taobao and test the relationship between these two variables. This research utilizes quantitative methods by collecting the data through online questionnaires. With the collected questionnaires of 203 respondents, aged between 18-40 years old who have watched Taobao live streaming of Thai brands recently. สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษา ความท้าทายของประเทศไทยในการบังคับใช้กติการะหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยสิทธิพลเมือง และสิทธิทางการเมือง ข้อที่21 (ICCPR) ต่อเหตุการณ์ชุมนุม ในสมัยรัฐบาลพลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา พ.ศ.2562-2564 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงการบังคับใช้กฎหมายที่เกินกว่าความจำเป็นจากเหตุการณ์การชุมนุมในห้วงเวลานี้ และมุ่งเน้นถึงความสำคัญของหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน และเสรีภาพต่อการแสดงออกทางการเมืองของประชาชน เพื่อให้เข้าใจถึงปัญหาและอุปสรรค อันเป็นความท้าทายของประเทศไทยในการปรับใช้กติการะหว่างประเทศ ว่าเพราะเหตุใดถึงไม่สามารถบังคับใช้กับประเทศไทยได้โดยสมบูรณ์ ต่อการเกิดขึ้นของสถานการณ์ความรุนแรงของผู้บังคับใช้กฎหมายที่ลิดรอนเสรีภาพ รวมถึงยังสร้างความเสียหายต่อทรัพย์สิน และชีวิตของประชาชนอย่างประจักษ์ นับเป็นการละเมิดสิทธิพลเมืองภายใต้กติการะหว่างประเทศ ดังนั้นผู้เขียนจึงนำแนวคิด ระบอบระหว่างประเทศเชิงซ้อน (International regime complex) มาศึกษาถึงปรากฎการณ์ดังกล่าว ซึ่งจากการศึกษาพบว่า กติการะหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยสิทธิพลเมืองและสิทธิทางการเมือง มิได้มีความสอดคล้องกับผลประโยชน์แห่งชาติของประเทศไทย เเละการไม่มีอำนาจศูนย์กลางในการบังคับใช้กฎหมายต่อผู้ละเมิด ส่งผลให้ประเทศไทยยังคงละเมิดกติกาดังกล่าวได้ ซึ่งการไม่ยึดโยงกับเจตนารมณ์ด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนอันเป็นจุดมุ่งหมายหลักของความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศนี้ นับเป็นความท้าทายที่สำคัญของประเทศไทย

สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อจะตอบคำถามว่า แนวคิดเรื่องการเปลี่ยนผ่านทางพลังงานโลก ส่งผลกระทบต่อความร่วมมือด้านพลังงานระหว่างไทยและญี่ปุ่นอย่างไร จากการศึกษาพบว่า การเปลี่ยนผ่านทางพลังงานโลก ทำให้ทั้งประเทศไทยและญี่ปุ่นกำหนดเป้าหมายด้านพลังงานไปในทิศทางเดียวกันเพื่อมุ่งไปสู่การสร้างนโยบายด้านพลังงานที่สอดรับกับกรอบการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงานโลก โดยญี่ปุ่นได้วางตัวเองเป็นผู้นำด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงนโยบายพลังงานในภูมิภาคเอเชีย และเข้ามาให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านเทคโนโลยีแก่ประเทศต่าง ๆ รวมถึงการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านพลังงานกับประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นฐานการผลิตที่สำคัญของญี่ปุ่นในภูมิภาค ลักษณะเช่นนี้ชี้ให้เห็นถึงแนวโน้มของการพึ่งพิงระหว่างประเทศ และอาจเป็นเครื่องมือกำหนดความร่วมมือด้านพลังงานอื่น ๆ ของทั้งสองต่อไปในอนาคต
