The general purpose of this study was to examine a model for professional development designed to meet the needs of administrators who work within the community college segment of higher education. Specifically, the research project was structured as a formative evaluation of the California community college administrative development program entitled Administration 101 offered through the state's primary professional association for administrators, the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA). Racial Attitudes Among South African Young Adults: A Four-Year Follow-Up Study, Timothy B. Smith, Christopher R. Stones, Anthony Naidoo

Due to many social changes that have occurred in South Africa since the first democratic elections in 1994, careful scrutiny must be given to the racial attitudes of South Africa’s young adults. Their degree of acceptance of the doctrine of deracialisation and reconciliation represents a hope or a warning in regard to a stable future. A follow up study was thus carried out in order to update data collected in 1995, with the hypothesis that, over time, greater acceptance of other racial groups would be reported. Democracy in America is at risk, and colleges are not doing enough about it, says Eugene M. Lang, a philanthropist known for tackling large problems in education. Colleges may say they encourage good citizenship, he says, but their efforts are often "random," and students are increasingly tuning out of the democratic process.

The Early History Of The Central Bank Of Bosnia And Herzegovina, Warren Coats

The CBBH opened its doors for business on August 11, 1997 with monetary liabilities of DM 132,584,030.72 million and an equal amount of foreign currency assets. Over ten months later, by the end of June 1998, the CBBH’s monetary liabilities were DM 123 million, a modest decline. By the end of 1998, however, the size of the central bank had jumped to DM 254 million, almost double its opening size. It has grown very rapidly ever since and by the end of 2002, the CBBH’s foreign currency assets stood at DM 2.5 billion—a truly astounding growth.
