Those are respiratory, digestive issues, and brain development complications (Grimm, 2022). The LGBTQ + youth population is at higher risk of developing vaping addiction due to stigma, rejection, physical abuse, and bullying (Kelleher, 2009). We propose a novel supervised learning approach for political ideology prediction (PIP) that is capable of predicting out-of-distribution inputs. This problem is motivated by the fact that manual data-labeling is expensive, while self-reported labels are often scarce and exhibit significant selection bias. We propose a novel statistical model that decomposes the document embeddings into a linear superposition of two vectors; a latent neutral context vector independent of ideology, and a latent position vector aligned with ideology. Today’s companies are likely to tout how their work benefits human welfare or “makes the world a better place.” Recent research suggests that this may come with a potential financial drawback for workers, as it can inhibit them from negotiating for higher pay. Developing an excellent quantitative trading strategy to obtain a high Sharpe ratio requires optimizing several parameters at the same time. Example parameters include the window length of a moving average sequence, the choice of trading instruments, and the thresholds used to generate trading signals. Simultaneously optimizing all these parameters to seek a high Sharpe ratio is a daunting and time-consuming task, partly because of the unknown mechanism determining the Sharpe ratio. Existing research on multiracials has examined how multiracials develop different racial identities. However, empirical research on how multiracial manage and integrate their identities as well as its impact are limited. This dissertation examined key antecedents and consequences associated with the unique process that multiracials undergo to achieve a positive identity via Multiracial Identity Integration (MII). In Study 1, we examined the link between MII, psychological well-being, and cognitive capacity. Results revealed a positive association between MII and psychological well-being as well as some cognitive capacity outcomes. Recent literature indicates that a lack of personal control negatively predicts (social) cynicism, a negative view of others as self-interested and exploitative (Stavrova & Ehlebracht, 2018a, 2019). Despite the ostensibly robust nature of this relationship, I propose that the strength of the link between personal control and cynicism could be more variable than extant findings have suggested. Exchange rate pass-through (ERPT) refers to the extent to which the movements in the exchange rate influence domestic prices. This study revisits the exchange rate pass-through in Egypt using quarter data from 2006 to 2022. The study employs a Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) model to estimate the degree of ERPT. The findings suggest that ERPT in Egypt is incomplete, meaning that changes in the exchange rate do not fully pass through to consumer prices. The study also investigates the role of the money supply in absorbing the shocks in the nominal exchange rate. The study has important implications for policymakers …

Suicide rates have increased over the last 20 years in all ethnic and racial groups in the US, but most prominently for veterans and non-white racial subgroups. Suicidal Ideation is a predictor for suicide but there is limited research looking at mental health differences in the at-risk military community due to race. 794 military personnel were surveyed electronically on a range of mental health measures in a southern US joint forces training center between 2014 and 2015. Climate change causes various negative impacts on life, thus requiring mitigation and adaptation actions. Climate finance could support the transition to a low-carbon economy globally, including in Indonesia. However, empirical research on climate finance in Indonesia is still limited. This study uses path analysis to examine the relationship between climate finance, renewable energy mix, and carbon emissions in Indonesia from 1973 to 2020. The results show that climate finance could not directly reduce carbon emissions or promote renewable energy indirectly. These findings indicate the need to reallocate climate finance to sectors that have the potential to reduce carbon in Indonesia.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในของเสีย คือ การนำกากขี้แป้งจากโรงงานน้ำยางข้น มาเป็น วัตถุดิบในการผลิตเป็นถ่านกัมมันต์ โดยได้ศึกษาประสิทธิภาพของการกำจัดตะกั่วและปรอทในน้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ เปรียบเทียบระหว่างถ่านกัมมันต์ที่จำหน่ายตามท้องตลาดทั่วไปกับถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ผลิตจากกากขี้แป้งที่ใช้เกลือแกงเป็นสารกระตุ้น และทำการล้างสารกระตุ้นด้วยกรดไฮโดรคลอริค 5% เมื่อนำไปศึกษาลักษณะทางกายภาพ พบว่าถ่านขี้แป้งมีค่าไอโอดีนนัมเบอร์ 510 มิลลิกรัมไอโอดีนต่อกรัม ถ่านกัมมันต์ และมีพื้นที่ผิว 566.39 ตารางเมตรต่อกรัม จากนั้นได้ทำการทดลองแบบแบตซ์ เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการดูดติดผิวตะกั่วและปรอท ได้แก่ พีเอช ความเข้มข้นของโลหะหนัก และปริมาณถ่าน โดยใช้การทดสอบไอโซเทอมการดูดติดผิวแบบฟรุนดลิช พบว่า ที่พีเอช 4 และความเข้มข้น 10 มิลลิกรัม/ลิตร มีเปอร์เซ็นต์การกำจัดตะกั่วและปรอทดีที่สุด จากการทดสอบไอโซเทอม การดูดติดผิวแบบฟรุนดลิชโดยใช้น้ำเสียสังเคราะห์แสดงให้เห็นว่าถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ผลิตจากกากขี้แป้งมีความสามารถในการดูดติดผิวตะกั่วและปรอทได้ 116.18 และ 18.78 มิลลิกรัมต่อกรัมถ่านกัมมันต์ตามลำดับ และถ่านกัมมันต์ที่จำหน่าย ทั่วไป มีความสามารถในการดูดติดผิวตะกั่วและปรอทได้11.07 และ 98.85 มิลลิกรัมต่อกรัมถ่านกัมมันต์ ตามลำดับ การทดสอบแบบต่อเนื่องในคอลัมน์ได้ใช้ถ่านขี้แป้งที่มีดินเหนียวเป็นวัสดุเชื่อมประสาน และทำการป้อนนำเสียอย่างต่อเนื่องแบบไหลลง ด้วยอัตราการไหล 3 แกลลอน/(นาที-ลูกบาศก์ฟุต) พบว่าถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ชั้นความสูง 30, 60, 90 และ 120 เซนติเมตร สามารถบำบัดตะกั่วในน้ำเสียได้ 5865.58, 3910.39, 3909.50 และ 3054.47 BV ตามลำดับ และสามารถบำบัดปรอทได้ 28.87, 16.04, 11.76 และ 9.62 BV ตามลำดับ จากผลการทดลองแบบฟรุนดลิชและแบบต่อเนื่องแสดงให้เห็นว่ากัมมันต์ที่ผลิตจากกากขี้แป้งมีความเหมาะสมในการกำจัดตะกั่วมากกว่าปรอท

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาระบบร่วม BPAC-SBR (Combined Biological Powder Activated Carbon-Sequencing Batch Reactor) สำหรับการลดสีและสารอินทรีย์ในน้ำชะมูลฝอยด้วยน้ำเสียที่ใช้เป็นน้ำเสียจากกองฝังกลบขยะมูลฝอยที่กำแพงแสนโดยควบคุมความเข้มข้นซีโอดีเข้าระบบเท่ากับ 1,000 มก./ล. หรือคิดเป็นค่าอัตราภาระบรรทุกซีโอดี 0.571 กก./ลบ.ม.-วัน ความเข้มสีเท่ากับ 170.7 Su ทั้งนี้ศึกษาถึงผลของชนิดและปริมาณผงถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ความเข้มข้นต่างๆ และ อายุสลัดจ์ของระบบที่ 20 และ 30 วัน จากผลการศึกษาพบว่าระบบที่เติมผงถ่านกัมมันต์ชนิด PL-75 ด้วยความเข้มข้น 20 ก./ล. และอายุสลัดจ์ของระบบที่ 20 วัน สามารถกำจัดซีโอดี และสีได้ สูงถึง75.6และ 75.4% ตามลำดับสำหรับกลไกการบำบัดน้ำเสียของระบบส่วนใหญ่เกิดจากการดูดติดผิวร่วมกับปฏิกิริยาชีวเคมี ภายในถังปฏิกรณ์

การศึกษาการบำบัดโลหะในน้ำเสียจากห้องปฏิบัติการวิเคราะห์คุณภาพน้ำด้วยชานอ้อย มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการ ศึกษาประสิทธิภาพในการดูดซับ สภาวะที่เหมาะสม และค่าใช้จ่ายในการบำบัด ซึ่งโลหะที่ปนเปื้อนในน้ำเสีย ได้แก่ โครเมียม, แมกนีเซียม, เหล็ก, แมงกานีส, แคดเมียม, เงิน และปรอท ทำการวิเคราะห์ด้วยเครื่อง Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) และ Mercury Analyzer และทำการทดสอบนัยสำคัญของข้อมูลด้วยวิธี Turkey's Honesty Significant Difference (HSD) ที่ความเชื่อมั่น 95% (p < 0.05) จากผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่า สภาวะที่เหมาะสมในการบำบัดโลหะ ได้แก่ พีเอช 9 ปริมาณชานอ้อย 25 กรัมต่อลิตร และระยะเวลาในการสัมผัส 90 นาที กลุ่มชานอ้อยที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการบำบัดสูงที่สุด คือ ชานอ้อยที่ ปรับสภาพ ขนาด 0.045-1.00 มม. และมีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p <0.05) จากชานอ้อยกลุ่มอื่นๆ ซึ่งความเข้มข้นของโลหะภายหลังจากการบำบัดในสภาวะที่เหมาะสม ได้แก่ แคดเมียม 0.021 มก./ลิตร, โครเมียม 0.053 มก./ลิตร, เหล็ก 0.078 มก./ลิตร, ปรอท 3.010 มก./ลิตร, แมกนีเซียม 35.920 มก./ลิตร, แมงกานีส 77.100 มก./ลิตร และเงินไม่สามารถตรวจวัดได้

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาความสามารถในการเป็นสารสร้างตะกอน (Coagulant) และสารช่วยสร้างตะกอน (Coagulant aid) ของกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อนำกากของเลียมาใช้ในการบำบัดน้ำเสียโดยมีการทดลองนำกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรม 4 ชนิด ได้แก่เถ้าลอย, เศษยางพาราของโรงงานผลิตน้ำยางข้น,กากของเสียจากอุตสาหกรรมทำ กาวยางและกากตะกอนจากระบบทำน้ำประปา ทั้งนี้ได้ทำการวิเคราะห์คุณสมบัติพื้นฐานทางกายภาพและเคมี,การวัดประจุของสารช่วยตกตะกอน และทำการประเมินความสามารถในการเป็นสารตกตะกอนและสารช่วยตกตะกอนเทียบ กับการใช้สารส้มเพียงอย่างเดียว ผลการทดลองพบว่าคุณสมบัติของกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมที่นำมาทำการวิเคราะห์มีประจุเป็นลบ จึงเหมาะกับการเป็นสารตกตะกอนร่วมกับสารส้มในการทดลองใช้กากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมเป็นโคแอกกูแลนด์นั้นพบว่าสามารถกำจัดความขุ่นได้ดีในช่วง 100-200 NTU ส่วนที่ความขุ่น 300 NTU ประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดความขุ่นจะลดลง สำหรับประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดความขุ่นเมื่อใช้กากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมมาเป็นโคแอกกูแลนด์นั้น มีอยู่ในช่วงร้อยละ 30-85 ที่ pH 6-8 และเมื่อนำกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมไปตกตะกอนร่วมกับสารส้ม พบว่าประสิทธิภาพในกำจัดความขุ่นเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อเทียบกับการใช้สารส้มเพียงอย่างเดียว ความสามารถในการลดความขุ่นของกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมแต่ละชนิด แตกต่างกัน โดยเถ้าลอย,กากของเสียจากอุตสาหกรรมทำกาวยาง และกากตะกอนจากระบบทำน้ำประปามีค่าประสิทธิภาพในการลดความขุ่นลงได้ร้อยละ 98.5,97.5 และ 96.5 ตามลำดับ สำหรับเศษยางพาราของโรงงานผลิตน้ำยางข้นไม่เหมาะในการใช้เป็นสารตกตะกอนเนื่องจากฟล้อคไม่แข็งแรง สำหรับค่าใช้จ่ายในการจัดทำสารโคแอกกูแลนด์จากกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมคิดเป็น 2.5 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม ส่วนสารส้มคิดในราคา 6 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม ดังนั้นการนำกากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมมาช่วยสร้างตะกอน จึงมีราคาถูกกว่าการใช้สารส้มทั้งหมด และสำหรับเถ้าลอยนั้นไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในการจัดทำ จึงควรพิจารณามาใช้เป็นสารช่วยสร้าง ตะกอนร่วมกับการสารส้มในการบำบัดน้ำเสีย.

การวิจัยนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาเพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดน้ำเสียฟาร์มสุกรโดยบึงประดิษฐ์ และเพื่อหาแบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์การกำจัด BOD ของบึงประดิษฐ์โดยใช้น้ำเสียฟาร์มสุกรที่ผ่านการบำบัดขั้นด้นจากบ่อผึ่ง และ ได้ทำการศึกษาบึงประดิษฐ์โดยใช้พืช 2 ชนิด คือ กกกลม (Cyperus corymbosus Rottb.) และ ธูปฤาษี (Typha angustifolia Linn.) ที่เวลากักพัก ชลศาสตร์ 4-27 วัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ประสิทธิภาพการกำจัด COD และ BOD อยู่ในช่วง 64-92% TSS อยู่ในช่วง 70-97% TKN อยู่ในช่วง 72-96% NO₃N อยู่ในช่วง 47-83% TP อยู่ในช่วง 39-81% และ Total Coliform Bacteria อยู่ในช่วง 52-85% สำหรับแบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์การกำจัด BOD ของบึง ประดิษฐ์คือ C_e/C₀ = Fxp(-0.7K_TA_v ^1.75t) ซึ่งจากการวิจัยได้ค่าคงที่ F ของบึงประดิษฐ์กกลมและบึงประดิษฐ์ธูปฤาษีเท่ากับ 0.463 และ 0.566 ตามลำดับ และค่า KT ของบึงประดิษฐ์กกกลมและบึงประดิษฐ์ธูปฤาษีเท่ากับ 0.00012 และ 0.00020 ตามลำดับ โดยสามารถใช้ค่าคงที่ดังกล่าวได้ก็ต่อเมื่อบึงประดิษฐ์มีเวลากักพักชลศาสตร์อยู่ในช่วง 4-27 วัน คำสำคัญ : บึงประดิษฐ์ การบำบัดน้ำเสียฟาร์มสุกร, แบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์การกำจัด BOD

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาถึงอิทธิพลของความเค็มและอัตราการรับน้ำเสียเข้าระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียแบบพื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำเทียมต่อการปลดปล่อยก๊าซมีเทน โดยใช้ความเค็มในรูปของค่าการนำไฟฟ้า (Electrical Conductivity) สูงถึงระดับ 16 dS/m. และควบคุมระยะเวลาของน้ำเสียให้อยู่ในระบบบำบัด 2-5 วัน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยของการปลดปล่อยก๊าซมีเทน มีค่าอยู่ในช่วง 4.0-75.7 มก./ตร.ม./ชม. ปริมาณการปลดปล่อยก๊าซมีเทนลดลง 40-50% เมื่อน้ำเสียมีความเค็ม 16 dS/m. เนื่องจากความเค็มยับยั้งกิจกรรมของแบคทีเรียและการเจริญเติบโตของพืชนอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าบริเวณที่อยู่ใกล้กับตำแหน่งที่ปล่อยน้ำเสียเข้าสู่ระบบจะมีการปลดปล่อยก๊าซมีเทนที่สูงกว่า ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากมีปริมาณสารอินทรีย์สะสมอยู่ในบริเวณดังกล่าวมากกว่า อย่างไรก็ตาม การเพิ่มปริมาณสารอินทรีย์ลงในน้ำเสียจะไม่ส่งผลให้มีการปลดปล่อยก๊าชมีเทนที่สูงขึ้นในช่วงเวลากลางวัน เนื่องจากน้ำเสียในระบบมีความลึกไม่มากนักประกอบกับการเกิดกระบวนการสังเคราะห์แสง ซึ่งส่งผล ให้เกิดสภาวะ aerobic ในบริเวณชั้นน้ำ
