The Bluff River Trail (BRT) is a future 10+ mile trail along the San Juan River corridor in the 4-Corners region of the Southwestern United States. By asking, what is the land ethic of the Bluff Community? this qualitative study identifies behaviors and beliefs, or land ethics, between seven Bluff residents and the San Juan River corridor. A land ethic contributes to the social re/production of space; therefore, third space theory contextualizes intersecting and contradicting spatialities evidenced in data. Functional analyses (FAs) are considered the gold standard for determining the function of behavior. However, behavior analysts have cited several perceived barriers that hinder the use of FAs, particularly a lack of time, dedicated space, and trained staff to conduct the analysis. Analyses such as the trial-based FA have been adapted from the traditional session-based FA in order to overcome some of these barriers. The block schedule trial-based FA (Gonzalez, 2018) has had one of the highest correspondence rates between the trial-based and the session-based FA to date. As cybersecurity becomes increasingly important in the digital world, the need for a virtual environment where security professionals can safely practice defending against real-life attacks is gradually rising. This thesis explores, participates in, and expands upon the design and implementation of such an environment, also known as a “cyber range”. We build a model where real-life attacks and defense can be successfully simulated, as well as further improving the process through automation. Ultimately, it proposes and experiments with the idea of an automated cyber range in order to enhance both the efficiency and effectiveness of a security testbed.

The Uinta Basin’s history differs from much of Utah. Its early explorer report as a “wasteland” meant Mormon settlers avoided the area, which made an expedient decision to put the land aside as the Uinta-Ouray Ute Indian Reservation. Native peoples were forced to the undesirable desert in the mid-1860s. In 1905, the United States Government opened the Reservation for White homesteading. Homesteading was difficult, and countless anecdotes show the difficulties—many settlers moved away, “selling out” (giving up on their homesteads and selling to another homesteader) their newly-acquired land and returning to greener pastures. Background: Many public libraries embraced digitalisation while some are hesitant to embrace it.

Aim: The purpose of the study was to examine digitalisation of library services as a magnifying factor in improving public library services in Limpopo.

Method: The study used a quantitative research approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire comprising both open and closed questions.

Results: Findings revealed that ICT infrastructure in Limpopo public libraries is underdeveloped and inadequate. Given this, the majority of public librarians are unable to utilise ICTs to render library and information services resulting in limited access to those services. It is recommended …

This study investigated behavioral skills training (BST) to improve feedback skills of personal trainers. We used a multiple baseline across participants design to evaluate the effects of BST for teaching personal trainers to provide positive and corrective feedback to their clients during various exercises within a private gym setting. In addition, we conducted observer absent observations in baseline and intervention to see if increases in the behavior occurred when the researcher was not present. Results indicated that BST was successful for both participants. Future studies should evaluate BST as a training method for personal trainers and assess its effectiveness across …

Several studies have evaluated the effects of consequent and antecedent procedures on athletic performance, including video modeling plus video feedback (VM+VF) as a treatment package. Although the effects of the VF consequent component have been well researched, relatively scant literature exists assessing the effectiveness of the VM component as an antecedent strategy. Additionally, these interventions have not been studied to improve goalkeeping skills of soccer players. Social stimuli are some of the most commonly used reinforcers in clinical programming(Graff & Karsten, 2012) and previous research shows that preference for social stimuli can be identified using variations of a paired stimulus preference assessment (PSPA; Fisher et al., 1992). Building on past research regarding privacy and digital librarianship, this study surveyed managers of digital libraries across the USA to gauge prevalent attitudes regarding individual privacy versus access to information. In the wake of controversy surrounding the European Union’s 2014 ruling regarding the ‘right to be forgotten’, the authors sought to develop a better understanding of how digital library managers in the USA handle privacy concerns, such as takedown requests, especially in light of the strong protections for first amendment rights in the USA.
