Simulation System For Carrier-Based Aircraft Ammunition Support Scheduling, Zhe Liu, Jiafeng Chen, Junfei Ma, Songhua Ma

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: For inefficient scheduling of carrier-based aircraft ammunition support on the flight deck of aircraft carriers, a Unity3D-based 3D virtual demonstration method for carrier-based aircraft ammunition scheduling is proposed, and a 3D virtual simulation system for carrier-based aircraft ammunition scheduling on the flight deck of aircraft carriers is constructed. A problem model targeted at carrierbased aircraft ammunition transportation and loading scheduling process as well as processing rules for path determination, sequence constraint, and loading position compensation are established based on the defining system. An optimal solution for the scheduling process is realized by using the improved discrete grey wolf optimizer …

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Cooperative vehicle infrastructure system (CVIS) is one of the advanced solutions to enhance intersection vehicle passage safety. Due to the lack of clear specifications and standards regarding the dynamic timing and transition processes of system object state interaction in existing CVIS technologies, ensuring the safety of passage control logic is challenging. This study utilizes formal language to describe the functional logic of CVIS in unsignalized intersections, verifying the safety of system object state interaction and control logic to improve vehicle passage safety at unsignalized intersections. Simulations are conducted for scenarios including single-vehicle non-conflict, dual-vehicle conflict, and multi-vehicle conflict to …

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: With the development of equipment systematization, traditional test with real equipment can not meet the requirements of Test and Evaluation(T&E), especially for complex equipment. As the main digital methods in current, digital twins and parallel experiments can support the digital application in the field of equipment Test and Evaluation. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the two digital technology means, extracts their technical connotation and characteristics, and then integrates them to explore the application mode, application time and application occasions in the field of equipment T&E. Taking the satellite for example, by constructing the digital architecture of equipment …

Interaction Between Virus Transmission Variation And Population Crossover Activity And Diffusion Model, Lei Yu, Xichou Zhu, Huaming Liao, Jiafeng Guo, Xueqi Cheng

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: In view of the current high incidence of human-to-human infectious viruses, a multi-agent simulation and deduction model was proposed and designed based on the random characteristics of virus transmission variation and the influence of population crossover activity. The external pathogenicity and infectious characteristics of the virus and the external activities and immune characteristics of the human were quantified, and the interdependence and confrontation process between the virus and the human were modeled. The development trends and statistical characteristics of a large number of viruses and humans were deduced through the model. The experimental analysis reveals that the randomness of …

Comparing Thin And Volume Regimes Of Analog Holograms For Wavefront Sensing, Emma Branigan, Andreas Zepp, Suzanne Martin, Matthew Sheehan, Szymon Gladysz, Kevin Murphy

Articles

Two analog holographic wavefront sensors, for measurement of defocus, have been fabricated as both thin and volume phase transmission holograms in a self-developing photopolymer. This represents the first reported direct comparison of hologram regimes when designed for wavefront sensing. An analysis of the effect of crosstalk in the presence of one other aberration mode (astigmatism X (0/90°), coma X (horizontal), and primary spherical aberration) was carried out with each version of the sensor. The performance of thin and volume analog holographic wavefront sensors was characterized under emulated conditions associated with moderate atmospheric turbulence.

Characterizing Range-Dependent Variations Of The Evaporation Duct: A Meteorological Perspective, Daniel P. Greenway, Alexis E. Vaughan, Andrew J. Kammerer, Erin E. Hackett

Marine Science

Evaporation ducts (EDs) are an observed electromagnetic phenomenon caused by rapid decreases of humidity with altitude. Sensing technologies that operate at X-band frequencies (8–12 GHz) exhibit the extension of radar signals beyond the radar horizon and holes in coverage at high altitudes during evaporative ducting conditions. In addition, the evolution of the ED over range has been reported to cause further adverse effects on these technologies in some circumstances. However, in terms of the predictability of these effects, more research is still needed. This research explores ED variations over range and characterizes them based-on two numerical datasets from different latitudes, …

Architectural projects often rely on modern technologies like smart architecture and environmental treatments, neglecting the principles and philosophy that reflect civilization, ideas, culture, and traditions. This leads to short-lived buildings that depend on these technologies without any purpose of preserving them. Technicians must constantly renew technology to improve production and without benefits, as threats of superior artificial intelligence have been warned, that autonomous machines may perform tasks without programmers understanding how to reach this level. Instead of relying solely on environmental or smart technology, we should make technology serve the design idea rather than relying solely on it. Considering this, …

Assessing The Carbon Footprint And Environmental Consequences Of High-Pressure Laminate Utilization., Mira Ibrahim Helmi

Journal of Engineering Research

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) stands as a prominent engineered decorative surface material, comprising layers of paper, resin, laminate, widely utilized in furniture, countertops, flooring, and wall panels. This study investigates the environmental impact of HPL through the lens of its carbon footprint, a metric quantifying the carbon dioxide emissions associated with its entire life cycle. A notable finding from the European Panel Federation (EPF) suggests that the carbon footprint of HPL approximates 1.2 kg CO2 eq/m2, revealing the emission intensity per square meter of produced material.
