Simple Summary: The seagrass Posidonia oceanica is the most important marine phanerogam of the Mediterranean Sea due to its meadows’ complexity, persistence, and extension. These habitats provide a suite of ecosystem goods and services, being of primary importance in marine conservation. Despite their central role in the coastal ecology, P. oceanica meadows are undergoing overall deterioration and fragmentation in the basin mostly due to anthropogenic impacts at local to global scales. Abstract: Marine communications cannot follow the development route on land of developing high frequency resources and high spectral-efficiency modulation technologies in 5G and 6G high-speed communication. The data rate and spectral-efficiency of maritime communications are low and are difficult to be improved. A high spectral-efficiency maritime very-high-frequency (VHF) communication technology based on multi-carrier time-delay overlapping modulation (MC-TDOP) is proposed. The core is delaying the subcarriers in turn and directly overlapping them in time domain. Abstract: In view of the difficulty of the traditional path planning method without energy consumption constraints to meet the emergency rescue requirements in the complex mountain operation environment, a three-dimensional path planning algorithm for multi-UAVs is proposed based on LSTM-DPPO(long short-term memory-distributed proximal policy optimization) framework. The LSTM long and short-term memory neural network is used to extract the important characteristic state information sequence of the multiple unmanned aerial vehicles in their respective flight process. A new niobium-doped inorganic scintillating oxyfluoride, Rb4Ge5O9F6:Nb, was synthe-sized in single crystal form by high-temperature flux growth. The host structure, Rb4Ge5O9F6, crystal-lizes in the orthorhombic space groupPbcnwith lattice parametersa= 6.98430(10)Å,b= 11.7265(2) Å,andc= 19.2732(3) Å, consisting of germanium oxyfluoride layers made up of Ge3O9units connectedby GeO3F3octahedra. In its pure form, Rb4Ge5O9F6shows neither luminescence nor scintillation butwhen doped with niobium, Rb4Ge5O9F6:Nb exhibits bright blue luminescence and scintillation. Abstract: In order to use the computing resources of edge devices to provide high-quality services, a joint resource allocation and task offloading mechanism is designed for the Internet of Vehicles architecture based on mobile edge computing. In the mechanism, the original problem is decomposed into two sub-problems of resource allocation and offloading decision. This work performs the first systematic comparison of hydrogen- and halogen-bonded configurations of the HCN/HX mixed dimer, where X = F, Cl, Br, and I. Eleven different minima have been characterized for these four heterogeneous dimers near the CCSD(T) complete basis set (CBS) limit. For each complex, two different hydrogen-bonded minima were identified: the global minimum where HX acts as the hydrogen bond donor and a local minimum where HX acts as the hydrogen bond acceptor. Total variation distance (TV distance) is a fundamental notion of distance between probability distributions. In this work, we introduce and study the computational problem of determining the TV distance between two product distributions over the domain {0, 1}n. We establish the following results.

1. Exact computation of TV distance between two product distributions is #P-complete. This is in stark contrast with other distance measures such as KL, Chi-square, and Hellinger which tensorize over the marginals.

Through a combination of internal and external collaborations, consumer-based energy education designed for hard-to-reach audiences was successfully delivered statewide by an interdisciplinary Extension team. Program participants representing rural residents, senior citizens, and low-income audiences demonstrated improvements in knowledge and increased intention to change their home electricity usage behaviors. This outreach work can serve as a model for other Extension services to combine interdisciplinary teams with community partnerships to reach underserved audiences statewide.

Abstract: Aiming at the premature convergence of seeker optimization algorithm(SOA) during optimizing the global problems, a new SOA-SSA hybrid algorithm based on seeker optimization algorithm and salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is proposed.The SOA-SSA algorithm is based on a double population evolution strategy, in which some individuals of the population are evolved by seeker optimization algorithm and the rest are evolved from salp swarm algorithm. We capture the public sentiment towards candidates in the 2020 US Presidential Elections, by analyzing 7.6 million tweets sent out between October 31st and November 9th, 2020. We apply a novel approach to first identify tweets and user accounts in our database that were later deleted or suspended from Twitter. This approach allows us to observe the sentiment held for each presidential candidate across various groups of users and tweets: accessible tweets and accounts, deleted tweets and accounts, and suspended or inaccessible tweets and accounts.
