Introduction: Families and friends of homicide victims (FFHV) interact with healthcare systems almost immediately after the traumatic event. Their interactions with healthcare providers can either facilitate healing, have a neutral effect, or compound an already painful experience. When trauma victims are admitted to the hospital, resources are necessarily diverted on their behalf with less consistent attention paid to their families and friends. The interactions surrounding the immediate circumstance as well as experiences in the weeks to months after can have significant long-term impact. Recovery from substance use disorder (SUD) is heterogeneous by nature. Yet, over the last 50 years, substance use treatment providers and researchers have often defined success as sustained abstinence from substances. An often overlooked but equally valid pathway to recovery for persons with SUD is non-abstinent recovery. However, the majority of the literature on non-abstinent recovery exists for individuals with alcohol use disorder (AUD) with little empirical inquiry into non-abstinent recovery for other types of SUD. This abstract discusses the proposed plan by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) to store Canada's nuclear waste in a deep geological repository (DGR) in northern Ontario, highlighting significant safety concerns. The NWMO's current strategy involves burying high-level nuclear waste underground at a site near Teeswater, Ontario, potentially impacting nearby communities and raising questions about long-term environmental and human health risks. Alternative approaches, such as a rolling stewardship model that allows for periodic retrieval and repackaging of nuclear waste, are proposed as safer alternatives. According to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), in 2021, the United States lost around $6.9 billion to cybercrime. In 2022, that number grew to over $10.2 billion (IC3, 2022). In one of many efforts to combat cybercrimes, at least 40 states “introduced or considered more than 250 bills or resolutions that deal significantly with cybersecurity” with 24 states officially enacting a total of 41 bills (National Conference on State Legislatures, 2022).

Nonetheless, although the environmental protection function is important, it tends to be marginalized in the national budgetary debates. This study, therefore, attempts to analyse the ‘green budget’ allocation and utilization within the Regional Medium-term Development Plan 2013 – 2017 of Jakarta Province. The purpose of this pilot study is to assess the reliability and construct validity of a measure of relationship-focused antecedents for smoking (RAS). The scale includes both positively-valenced items (e.g.. “I feel like smoking when I am relaxing with my partner”) and negatively-valenced items (e.g., “I feel like smoking when my partner criticizes me”). Participants included 123 individuals who smoke cigarettes with co-habitating smoking (n=63) or non-smoking (n=60) romantic partners. Participants completed the RAS and a series of measures associated with smoking outcomes. Principal component analysis with varimax rotation resulted in a 2-component solution. This study explores the relationship between cultural attitudes and national GDP growth, across several countries. Data from the World Values Survey from the 2010 through 2014 and 2005-2009 wave have been utilized to determine cultural attitudes, and data from the World Bank and USAID has been utilized for building the economic growth model. The purpose of this study is to inform policy makers regarding the effects of different cultural factors and their interactions on economic growth outcomes. The main contribution of this study is the positive impact that attitudes towards the environment have on economic growth outcomes.
